In my opinion, a good, clean processed bread knife that also still looks chic. The grip is good and comfortable in the hand and the blade acts "snappy" and solid. Even the knife has a comfortable weight for me. OK it is not only so, but is it also. Whether old crusty bread, baguette or honeydew melon (yes I've misused ^^) Yesterday I had the feeling that the blade develops a life of its own and through bites by almost everything by itself. Without a lot of pressure and without great to sabers around it is "marched" through the bread. There were just 2 - 3 trains through the baguette and the disc was down. As a test I have specially lifted a piece of old, dried crusty bread. So what has even managed my old knife but it was a grueling sawmill so. The Fiskars had no problems. Exercised only light pressure and it "ate" to ruckzuck by. No bending the blade or tear out of the cut. And the melon so let share wonderful. After rinsing I never imagined the coating of the blade viewed at any chipping or abrasion to find. The only thing I found were a few very delicate "Mattierungslinien" (I would say). Only visible at a certain angle to the light. Well if the coating for a few years on it remains ?! Time will tell. For now, however, I am very satisfied with this knife.
