Got the Seagate 1.5TB brought to operate it in a docking station via USB as an external hard drive, well was probably shot in the oven. The drive is not recognized, have (all Win XP) tried 2 PCs and a laptop - no chance, also a two-time replacement of the plate brought nothing. Then pushed'm on my Datenkrake research on hundreds of negative reports about exactly this disk, a good summary of all the problems there are, for example. here:
