Customer Review

Hi Guys,

recently I got my BB Q10 and was more than happy with it, although I had distinct Vorbedenken against BB. This had now but completely changed and I, yes, I have to say it, love that part.

And now comes the Passport! Oh maaaaan. Antesten least once you have it. Did it get through detours and am very happy to finally hold it in his hands. Granted I have in the time before but now and then really pressed my passport to my ear, just to see how that does so! Did I indeed always felt ridiculous but maybe a little. My smartphone past I have touched on my Q10 recession, it I will not go now. Mir gehts here a lot more to the comparison between the passport and the Q10.

Screen
It's bigger, not only the 1.4 "diagonal. What now not after soooo sounds a lot, but accounts for almost 110% more space. So there can be more than shown twice as much. As far as the pixel density as such, I have confess that I Q10 actually as sharp as consider, that this massive increase in the PPI for me does not make sense. I think 1080 * 1080 would have done it, what would have zuguten the battery. Well, complain at a high level!
Personally, I find, however, especially in the black is a distinct difference. This makes Super AMOLED better than LCD. What you should know. When the brightness Passport wins again. I'm just not sure if that permanently controls the brightness. But if that is simply unbeatable well implemented. Do you have to look at what one is important. I could not decide, and find itself both displays great. But the size makes it easy here and thus clear advantage for the Passport. When surfing on the Q10 was possible, it is on the Passport a pleasure and could vlt even replace one or the other tablet!

Haptics
There are just two incredibly well made. It just feels unbelievable dibasic. As I said at the Q10 on, I had next to an iPhone haptic never something better in his hands. I must say, the Passport also topt again that! The stainless steel frame around it is super processed, mass gap perfectly and extremely uniform. It's VLT annoying that the battery is firmly installed, but sitting the back cover "bombproof. Mir is just that is already happening is that when I went to get my Q10 out of my pocket, I abmachte the back cover, which is now attached not really fixed ,
You just feel that even if it suddenly slipped out of his hand, nothing happens. But that should thanks to strong rubber coating the back hardly happen. Simply great feeling that device to hold in your hand.
Stainless steel buttons for volume adjustment and so sit rock solid and do not wobble. Are very well made and I find the solution away from an added 3 buttons rocker significantly more pleasant.

Keyboard
The really biggest difference to Q10 in addition to the size of the display. So instead of 4 rows, there are now only 3. The space bar moves between V and B. Shift and Sym lose their place and can be found on the display again. Additional functions were not printed on the keys. For the significant keys are larger than in the Q10. Prescribers are thus even more impossible. But it's a big change, to which one must get involved. You can activate on the keyboard and paste using the keys Sonnderzeichen by wiping. Actually you can do anything on the keyboard, without having to ever leave. Also great texts can therefore be easily downloaded tap.
But with the keyboard, you can not just tap, no. It is basically a sort of touchpad, which allows you to scroll, pushing and marking. A sublime Chill to take the device cross, and then to take advantage of the excellent browser and sprinting through the Internet without the obstructed own fingers Internet content. Smooooothes feeling!

Operating system
I had installed on my Q10 a prerelease version of the OS 10.3 and thus knew me pretty good. Hub outstanding. Thus, the now even more to fit on the screen good, the e-mail editor or the general text input editing makes it even better. More apps are logically also possible on a screen. So it was at Q10 5 * 3, there are the Passport * 5. 4 Beautiful thing. The operating system is so intuitive than almost any other mobile OS. It's just great thought and you find yourself so fast that you try some wiping gestures on Androids and any wonder why nothing happens. Well done.

Blend
Blend gets its own point. Since this is also here apart again by the entire competition. No matter where you have your Passport, it's once synced with your tablet or laptop or PC, you can fully access to the Passport, in so far they are both in the I-net. So now that's great. Man sitting at the work, there is a message. Phone remains in your pocket. Is answered on glare on PC! Great and unique!

Camera and other
Camera with its 13 megapixels already almost too much. So I personally do not need so much. But the photos are really great and I have to say that they are yet again a good step better than the Q10. Are especially in low light conditions the photos better. Incidentally, a recording at 60 fps is possible that makes a slow motion processing possible. A very nice Gimick. There nothing to complain about in my opinion, so at the camera.
Sound is exelent. Again one point more clearly than in the Q10, which already had a very good sound. Both my interlocutor hears me very well, and I hear this also very very good. The external speakers "are also good crisp and even with a little more bass than other smartphones. Although one can speak of bass still not.
App stores are now before 2nd Amazon Market (with Android apps, which actually work very well) and the BlackBerry market. It would even be conceivable to install Snap, which is a complete Android Market and thus represents all apps. So to apps it should no longer be lacking now.
The USB port (for HDMI available with adapter) now sits back down and not on the side! Perfect for the hopefully soon coming dock.
Battery lasts again longer than the Q10. With moderate use, I'm sure possibly even 4 days are possible, but in the case of heavy use Mimimum 3. I see you 2 extra days unproblamtisch.
Bluetooth pairing works with my Autio radio and perfectly at high speed!

Brand new: Recently, it is also possible to draw BB OS 10.3.1! What it because everything is new, and I quote times from a forum:

* The BB PIN can be seen in all 4 corners of the homescreen
* The interaction with Blend still does not go out with the PP
* The battery saving mode - here you can set up your different parameters which should make the BB when the accusative below a set of you value decreases
* A new profile management here can now individually determine what should happen in in the respective profile. There is also now finally different LED colors
* In night mode can now "save battery" also be selected with
* Shortcuts - here you can define certain actions and define shortcuts using keys that can be launched from the home screen
* Calendar - here it is now possible if you have entered a place at a date now display these in the cards
* Photos can now be hidden
* In the "extended interactions" can now also be selected in Standby
* USB mode - new function "load only" or "Manual IP" came about
* New boot screen - here you can see when you boot the BB What's happening right now - have the impression that the BB will start faster

This is well-final and officially come the end of the year as an update, if then the BB Classic hits the stores.

Conclusion
Q10 or Passport? Clearly! Passport! You have to with the size in your pocket arangieren, but that should be even feasible. A super part and for that price compared to the other competitors a clear price-performance winner! Clear recommendation !!!

5/5 star.

I hope I could help a little.

Greetings
