+ Good, high-resolution display (can also keep up with QHD yet in my opinion, the difference can be seen only when you press your nose to's display)
+ Super camera. For release in my opinion the best smartphone camera. Can nevertheless still keep up with the iPhone 5S and 6, although with weaknesses in weak light (noise). Moderate depth of field. Anyone who wants to can with the equipment really awesome good pictures make (who photographed only in bad lit evening events, the HTC One should bring).
+ Good hardware equipment (graphics and processor). The device tinkers hardware that copes still (as of 01/2015) top with all apps. Solely the preinstalled software ruined the pretty.
+ Software updates. Hard to believe, but apparently true: Samsung begrudge the S4 nor the Lollipop update. If it does not come to other updates, you can "leave" thanks CyanogenMod Installer to install the alternative ROM CyanogenMod. Hardly cumbersome and a matter of 5min and you've got always the latest software.
+ Good battery. Holds one to two days with me. Depending on whether I travel a lot, or not.
- Lousy Software. In my opinion, an old dog: Samsung can indeed hardware but not software. TouchWiz (Samsung Benutzeroberflächer on Android, such as HTC Sense in) leaves the smartphone appear sometimes slowly. Moreover, even masses of bloatware happen that bisect the promised 16GB Memory (in my case) smooth. Even as Nova Launcher Launcher (free in PlayStore) run more smoothly, as TouchWiz. One can but be sure due to the popularity of mobile phones that CyanogenMod will still continue to support (just google a bit, is not difficult). The bloatware can get rid of with root also. The Otto-Normal citizens will not want to do (what I do not understand), but I recommend it strongly!
+/- In my meaningless "Features". Many features included, such as with gestures or eye detection (never worked for me). For some, perhaps, the reason to buy. If you offer him want only reason to buy the unit, let it! This frills works more than in 50% of cases, does not create any productivity and sucks more than the battery is empty. Alone S-Voice (Doppeltip on the home button) slows the device already fierce and will cost about 10-20% of the battery capacity (best disable the same, then there is peace). The only plus here: The ability to operate the unit with (relatively thin) gloves.
Conclusion: In my opinion: Buy yourself the part! It's just relatively cheap and in my opinion, so a better deal than the (not much more advanced) S5. If you disable the majority of Samsung-clutter, or the same or a Cyanogenmod Launcher installed there is a real slick smartphone with LTE and updates to Android 5.0. Could at least so far still notice no performance loss.
