My impressions after about 2 weeks use:
Compared to my Canon 70D significantly lighter and more plastic feel, but fits comfortably in your hand.
When you first move in his hand made me the first rattling noise irritated that comes from the eyes, which are to receive the shoulder belt. The shoulder belt is off even the clatter.
The automatic extension and retraction requires a bit of caution, if you record them turned on somewhere. Otherwise it could be that they inadvertently things set in motion the automatic retraction of the zoom!
The often-mentioned loose lens cap I know the same if the Canon. Who complains that comes safely out of the compact camera stock!
However, I would like to have some grip him. So I cut 2 small grooves on the inner smooth grip plates. Thus, the lid is now to grab more secure and no longer strikes me down when I try to insert or remove it. Sometimes it's really the little things ...
First sighting shots in the office under the light of fluorescent lamp:
Significant Flimmerstreifen in FZ1000 at the automatically selected fast shutter speeds in the P mode (upper right turning wheel). In the same shutter speeds no streaks can be seen in the Canon strangely.
A quick look into this selling (recommended) book "superzoom Lumix Photo School" of Frank Spaeth points out the flicker of the film mode, which actually brings a significant improvement - but only for the movie mode!
For normal still images, the time must be just about the selection of the S-mode (back upper right turning wheel) can be reduced to 1 / 30s to also largely elimieren this effect.
What is striking is the clear choice of the lower ISO values the Panasonic despite practical shutter speeds, while the Canon rather longer times (pre-programmed camera shake), yet chooses high ISO values.
The details are very similar, even more in favor of Panasonic.
Also the focusing in dim lighting it done faster and more reliable.
Practically, the display of the current small format equivalent focal length on the screen when zooming. This is then also displayed in the Exif data of the images below 35mm focal length.
The "real" focal length of the lens is stored under the normal focal length.
The switch to macro mode allows almost on contact with the object of desire to go and take up full frame. Cropping is here as well as in standard mode without any problems. In standard mode, you must of course as with the Canon ensure that a minimum distance, otherwise can not be brought into focus.
That the FZ is (all signal and trigger sounds and the mechanical shutter muted) only by the extension and retraction of the lens stands out in the "Mute" very pleasant. Even if that could be put on manually, if it were awesome! ;)
However, then also no longer flashes is possible because with the mechanical shutter and the flash is disabled. In certain situations, but in my opinion is an advantage because it's just really rather discreetly. It can not happen with this one camera that you can flash by mistake, even in automatic mode not! I think it's good!
The viewfinder of the FZ1000 is beneficial dissolved bright and clean. I have found myself, not as usual to look at the menus and photos views on the display, but through the viewfinder! Den can be engraved with a small wheel on the left side sharp adapt to his needs! The first finder for me, which is good not only for the topic Power-Search!
The menu is a bit unusual for a first canonists, but quickly grasp and then also intuitive to use. So the setting of parameters succeeds quickly becoming faster and more accurate.
First impression: It's fun with the FZ1000 and it seems at first glance to me easier to shoot good pictures as with the Canon 70D.
First comparisons in Lightroom show that the Canon logically produces the larger chip owed stronger exemption blur, but that just connected also has the lower depth of field which is then sometimes but wants back on some pictures. In the 200% magnification one can see in low-light shooting with the Panasonic image noise and irregular artifacts, but also with the Canon I have found amplified noise here.
Conclusion:
The FZ1000 already makes me a lot more fun than my 70D!
The enormous zoom range often brings startling "Naherlebnisse" and using the extremely effective image stabilization, these are still hot!
I almost suspect that I'll use the Canon only for specific purposes and can only recommend buying this camera! She's really fun!
