Tried after reading comparative tests and the rave reviews the nomadic headphones PHILIPS Fidelio M1, I fell for this compact model, sober, elegant and well finished. After trying in store with my iPhone and compared to no less a nomad 20taine models .the question was no longer possible. I wanted to replace my previous headset, Philips Bluetooth SHB9001 that was beginning to show signs of fatigue with very unpleasant crackling sound. Initially I almost buy the new Bluetooth model Philips SHB 9100, so javais enjoyed the friendly side of wireless and highly effective sound Philips, with its Fullsound technology, which restored color to my MP3. But disappointed by the lack of solidity (I had already glued the broken arch, ah all plastic!), I decided to give up the Bluetooth. Bluetooth high-end headphones are too expensive. I chose the Fidelio M1 and I do not regret it. It is very comfortable. The sound is excellent, very balanced with good bass present but not excessively, and the build quality is there. This helmet exudes solidity. The only concern is not with the helmet but MP3 recordings of average quality. For with this helmet there is no Fullsound (very efficient!) To correct the lack of dynamism of your recordings. I'm not a very demanding music lover on sound quality. I keep the MP3 format for convenience. I have over 2,000 titles on my iPhone and I care! My CD nightclub is compressed in large part on my PC in MP3 192kbps CBR. Now this format seems a fair bit with this headset. MP3, it is better to spend 256 or 320 VBR. Anyway, given the time it takes, I will book the new securities. A wired headset nomadic to nearly 200, it is not cheap! But given the beast, it was worth the money.
Update August 30, 2013: After a year of use, my opinion is more mixed on the strength of this helmet. Despite the care taken in its storage in its carrying bag, imitation leather coating of both atria has detached from its support. One of the two foams become unglued from the headset. Sound quality remains intact as the first day, but the fragility of this helmet revealed after a year of daily use requires me to remove a star. Shame. So the price of 200 paid to its output seems to me far too high today. Philips still some way to go in terms of strength in time!
Update March 23, 2014: After 17 months of use, completely changed my opinion on this helmet. The sound is still very good, but the atria are so damaged that the headset becomes unusable! The two atria are detached. Worse, the leatherette covering them breaks up and reveals the foam through the welds. And Philips offers no replacement earbuds. What a disappointment for a headset bought 200 euros! I would put a star, not worth more! After 2 Philips headsets, bluetooth, and an all plastic it çi, 2 huge disappointment! It's over, I will no more trust this brand for helmets! I just ordered a Sennheiser Momentum, more expensive at 250 euros, but with a sound much better than Philips and a much higher apparent build quality. We'll see in time would this give!
