After I was disappointed when buying my last DVD player from Toshiba several times (unit had several quirks such as Just switch on blue screen even though the auto detect PAL / NTSC was active)
I was initially a little skeptical whether I should give Toshiba another chance because the previous Toshi (a SD 470 EK TE) after conversion and a completely new device placed the same deficiencies to light.
But a new DVDplayer still had her, inter alia, the good PS3 to entlassten a little and to circumvent their easy stöhr end fan noise)
So I took the purchase of this equipment, what I personally saw a good geschäfft because he was not much more expensive than the Toshi device before and at that HD-DVDs can be played.

So much for the history and now the actual review:

Picture:

The player is operated on a HDReady Samsung LE 32 R 81 via HDMI.
After I had taken the picture settings of channel No. 2 (PS3) to the HDMI channel No.3 I was absolutely amazed by the outstanding image in the Transformers DVD.Einen whole Tick nicer than the old Toshi, which already for his is known very good picture.
Qualitatively, the picture on the level of PS3, am very satisfied!

Now that my free HD movies have arrived now even a HD DVD Review:
The first test film was SERENITY.Bei this film (one of my favorite movies) I was initially a little enttäuscht.Das image a tick better than on DVD only in well-lit scenes, in dark passages I could not see any differences for DVD version. Even the sound of the HD-DVD version is quite front heavy, although Dolby Digital war.Obwohl turned a good movie was the HD performance unfortunately without hoped AHA effect.
