The theme of WHD was now finished for me and I bought the W1070 + over the Easter offerings.
The image quality of the W1070 is measured by the value for money excellent. The image is razor sharp, the colors very well balanced already on delivery and 3D a blast, compared to a normal LED or plasma TV.
The W1070 + projected with us on a gray canvas, and in combination, it is possible even during the day without complete darkening to use the projector as a TV replacement. Although the image fades in contrast to the darkened room a bit, but I find it more comfortable than our Panasonic plasma, the strong reflected light irradiation.
In sleep mode (not Smart Eco) the projector which is mounted directly above the heads on the ceiling with us, yet noticeable, but I did not feel it was a really disturbing. I sit directly under the projector, I find the fan noise a bit more comfortable than when I'm sitting at the side next to the sofa. I suspect the reason is that the projector has the vents on the side and you thus laterally offset can perceive the sounds of fans better.
One should be very susceptible to the RBE effect, it makes sense a few euros to spend more and to take the DLP projector distance. We are not susceptible to happiness and I have to provoke even to see the RBE.
