First of all I want to say that I found the English of the two authors as easy. Clear had to unfamiliar terms to check, but after a while you have the also impressed and could fluently read the book behind the other way, without which one had the feeling something missing important if you do not know the exact translation of a word once. Therefore, I would recommend this book to all those who want to get into the "English reading".
When reading I found myself in a highly modified Hogwarts School. To name a few: the common areas, the "Great Hall", the three friends who stick together through thick and thin, but at first can not stand, the talents of the three friends, ...
But since I have these things already criticized in my introduction, I would not again additional details, now, because I myself do not like it when you compare with each other in a review of books (in "The Iron Trial" but it is sooo obvious I had anscheiden the subject, forgive me!).
Nevertheless, I have to say that this "child" was entertaining book. I have enjoyed reading it and even if I have repeatedly seen parallels with other works, it has the two authors still managed to bring in me in this story, without that I thought to be somewhere else. The tension was pretty high at the beginning, because you were thrown in the prologue quasi in the story and did not know at what is at stake. It was therefore to find so exciting in the course of the novel, what it actually does with the entry on itself.
The protagonist Callum Hunt was me really very likable. In the beginning, he has partially done really sorry because he had to endure so much and we have seen once again how intolerant some people may be yet. Throughout the book he is but become more assertive with new friends and skills and I was able to partially correct delighted with him, because he took his role as an outsider gradually.
In some places, the story has a little rushed and quickly worked because Clare and Black have partially made huge leaps in time. On the other hand, individual days were sometimes described in great detail. These two different things have a little uneasiness brought into the story and in the end it was not quite as credible over that year should be over.
CONCLUSION
Despite some weaknesses I liked the book. It was an entertaining read for young and old, that I really can lay each warmly, the criticisms that I have mentioned, not mind so much. But since I know by the authors that they have much more potential than they have exhausted in "The Iron Trial", I was a little disappointed that they have but then served as strong in other stories. On the other hand, they have me with the completely different, likable and unique characters that have remained in my memory, impressed.
