Good Universal lamp, not consistently thought through

Every real man loves flashlights, like any real woman loves shoes. Why, we will never understand in both cases. Let us live with it.

When TK15C is the "C" for "Color", so for buuuunt.
The lamp casts namely as a special feature in addition to white and even red and green light in the landscape.
The TK15C does a lot right and a lot wrong.

The Lamp

Service
Simple and easy.
Switch by pressing the back: light permanently on or off.
Switch back a little push: lamp lights until you release.
Press button on the page: lamp switched on by three white light brightness levels (strong to weak), followed by red and green, then it'll start all over again.
Hold button is pressed on the side: lamp switches to silly flickering. So So.
Button on the side press briefly: lamp flickers now red and green. Aha.
Hold button on the page longer pressed: light shows by colored light on the battery level; but only very roughly. Nevertheless, a practical matter, because it will tell you whether you can still venture out of the house or maybe a little juice in the battery showered before heading to amazing nocturnal exploits.

Light!
The TK15C supplies three white light brightness levels I take the manufacturer's instructions, I can not measure it.
450, 150 and 10 lumens respectively 2:30, 10 150 hours burn time. That may well come.
After 30 minutes at full light output the TK15C switches to prevent overheating back to average power. This is so far OK, much better would be a really temperature-dependent control.

The TK15C delivers 10 lumens slightly "dirty" (greyish), at medium and full power white beautiful looking light.
The beam is focused in a relatively small, round spot, around it, a round flood beam with light rings, ie differences in brightness. The illumination is nevertheless quite homogenous; so we like that.
The lamp comes quite far, the manufacturer speaks of 200 meters. That comes out although you never know what you're there to use as a reference: Ordinary illumination of a white object, or the ability to make an object just barely visible. Fuck knows, knows Fenix, but I do not.
In a nutshell: Neat spot range, still good close-range illumination.

- On the bicycle TK15C makes a reasonably good figure: It lights up very far, but neglect the short-range illumination somewhat. And exactly that is what matters at the rather leisurely Herumzuckeln on two wheels rather than on to illuminating the Jupiters.
The UC35 from the same manufacturer, the much better, but it is not quite so far, despite nearly twice the brightness. Nix without compromise.

- Red and green light casts the TK15C forcefully in the area: The coverage is good 20 to 30 meters, the cone of light is however quite dirty, far from homogeneous.
When the red and green light are the ghosts
To signal (driving noch'n bit or STOP!) A good thing; only want you in such applications between red and green can switch back and forth; and that's what's not, because there is only one button: After red comes green, but then white light in three stages, then again red to Signaliserung not exactly the cream of the crop, especially the meaningful order in most signaling applications rather green. , then would be red, not vice versa.

Otherwise I can think of nothing, because nobody feels red or green light as pleasant.

- Silly Flackerfunktion ("Strobe"): The light will flash as in a disco. Constantly read your boring nonsense as "effective defense measure". Incredible nonsense.
I do not know who was from disco strobes each incapacitating; Why should they? Epileptics times excluded.
In addition, I spent hours of my life in authorities forums, read practical experience with the use of Flackerlichtes. Result: zero effect.
And moreover, I have asked myself the heroic self-experiment: lamp reingeschaut on the table, Flackergedöns to, from a few feet away, until I started out of boredom with the nose picking. Effect: NULL.
So really just a childish gimmick that no one ever needs, but any fool must have course absolutely. : D

You can cut down before the Omme a villain with the TK15C one, by the toothed reflector and Endkappenkanten which should also make pretty Ouch; and has thus sichs then also with "effective defenses".

Anyone looking for a universal lamp, is well served by the TK15C. But who wants to use in hunting or in similar applications the lamp, rather buys something else. Excluded here are Prädatoren- and trapping; for the TK15C is quite good, because the colored light range is sufficient here.
Fathers their offspring may buy this lamp with a clear conscience: children will have a lot of fun at the TK15C, find also innumerable applications for the colored light.
For me, the absolutely inconsistent color light conversion is a real reason for return: well thought out, plenty of power but not practicable switchover, no brightness control.
