PlayStation 4 Camera Review

The design of the PS4 camera has changed greatly in a direct comparison to the Playstation Eye (PS3 camera). Was it the Playstation Eye still a clunky piece of technology, the new PS4 Cam comes in a sleek design that is perfect for flat screen TV.
Technically, the Kameera by two 720p lenses and four (!) Microphones points. The two lenses are required for one for the face detection and the other for motion detection.

On each the Playstation 4 tech demo "Playroom" is pre-installed. With this demo you can test the new DualShock 4 controller and the PS4 camera. In a direct test on the console the two lenses make a very good impression. The camera displays everything sharp and reacts extremely fast to movements.
The new "Share" option of the PS4 making it possible for you to stream game content directly to other players. With the camera you can PS4 when streaming additionally your face show some personality with reinzubringen)

The microphones work perfectly. The PS4 accepted new voice commands to eg different applications to start. The voice commands are also well understood if you continue wegsitzt something from the camera.

Overall I am very pleased with the new features of PlayStation 4 camera. Sony has here some improvement compared to the old camera and can be new features come. The price of about 60 euros to be justified by the two 720p camera units and 4 microphones.
