Shave:
I have three days bothered "Wilkinson Hydro 5" to shave one side of the face with the other and with the "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power". My wife has the shaving each subjected to an examination at the end.
The "Wilkinson Hydro 5" is very good in the hand, it is not too heavy and it can be in contrast to his predecessors Wilkinson also perform better. I've been using for soaping L'Oréal MEN EXPERT shave gel and it softens the hair a very good and also I shave only after showering. I was curious and I must say, the razor glides very clean cheeks, there is no comparison to its predecessor, "Wilkinson Sword Quattro Titanium Precision", because here I have always had a pull. Even that you can expose the blade by flipping the gel reservoir I find extremely good because one can shave the sideburns optimal, as the areas under the nose. I'm from "Wilkinson Hydro 5" impressed, especially with the price. For me it was also important that I do not get skin irritations and even here there was nothing to complain about.
Now the "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power" was my turn. He is also really good in the hand and visually it makes a lot more here. Now I pushed the button for the vibration and I was not sure what would happen to me. The razor glides really on the face, but it was also felt unusually these vibrations, but this is not negatively visible. I also had here no irritation and no bad feeling during shaving. It seemed to me as if the "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power" is slightly less feel, but this is also due to the vibration, as this covers the actual shaving, thus cutting off the beard, but as I said, the difference is marginal. At the head of the razor is a trimmer blade and it allows the shaving hard to reach places, or for shaving the contours as the sideburns. Here I like the solution of the "Hydro 5" much better because I can work fine, and in particular the sideburns can be better shave.
Cleaning:
The "Wilkinson Hydro 5" has a wider blade spacing as the "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power" and this may have advantages in terms of cleaning. The advantage of "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power" is the open back of the blade, since it is with the hair easily rinse off. To do this the "Hydro 5", you have to first turn down the gel reservoir, but now is not a big expense.
Conclusion:
My wife has subjected my shave at the end of an examination and without that I said to her with what I have shaved razor which side of the face. Visually seen was in their view nothing, not even if you look closely. But with the hand she had a cheek found to be softer and here was the "Wilkinson Hydro 5" at work. Personally, I can not tell the difference in the shave. Therefore, now the price is the focus, and here is the "Wilkinson Hydro 5" "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power" clearly superior to, because not only the blades of Gillette are significantly more expensive, the "Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power" also needs a battery , albeit rarely. I for one will keep the "Wilkinson Hydro 5", because here price and performance to 100%.
