Good image quality, great service, moderate Body Processing

For about 3 months I use the 700D and want to let potential buyers share my experiences. I shoot for about 10 years with different Canon cameras and I switched from a 50D to 700D. Actually unusual because the double-digit Canon models are among the semi-professional and appropriate user rarely "downgreaden". The main reason for me was the use of pivoting and rotating the monitor with the convenient ability to make all the important camera settings on the cloth screen. Since I often photograph landscapes from unusual perspectives out, which is a real benefit for me. In addition to the significantly lower rate compared to the 70D and the more compact design, which is a boon on long trips. The picture quality is of course highly dependent on the lens selected. Therefore, one should invest in my opinion the possibly saved purchase price to 70D in the purchase of higher quality lenses. It is worth it! The 700D makes excellent shots, fast and absolutely user-friendly through the fabric screen. The only thing I miss when taking pictures with the 700D compared to the 50D, the Costumerprogramme and a finer tuning in the ISO-election.

Nevertheless, I have also grounds for criticism. After a few days use, I realized that broke the rubber coating of the camera bodies below the shutter. Said rubber stands out at this point about the body, yielding after triggering with the index finger on the resulting edge "scars" and the unwanted Gumierung triggers. Twice I had the camera in the customer center to Willich send for repair before the error could be corrected. Interest's sake, I've looked in several technology markets the same models. Two 700Ds had the same flaw. Therefore, I suspect that this is not an isolated case. I am surprised to have so far not read about it in the reviews. Based on this experience I have a question mark in terms of the quality of workmanship of the Body gumming - especially after prolonged use. But as I said, to this "downer" is the 700D a really great camera that is fun and definitely can, most importantly - provide a good image quality.
