Have after a long search and selection of renowned manufacturers chose this AVR, although I just have unsettled with 3 stars something the reviews. That is why my review because I believe are, 3 stars for that but overall very successful AVR not entirely justified. In my short list of all available devices (In an affordable price range for me) stood at the end of the Onkyo 636, Denon 2100 and the Sony 1050th Ultimately, I decided for the Sony STR-DN1050, as it on the one hand all my conditions are met (WLAN, Bluetooth, Zone2, HDMI for Zone2) and secondly and most importantly has super sound! Buying I have just not looked back. Some reviews are a bit exaggerated in my opinion: - User manual - true, but in this day and age this is also no longer absolutely necessary. Finally, we want to save paper, in future for the paperless office and 90% of all transactions are online handled. And honestly how often you so do not look in a manual ..... church in the village and bite firmly on side issues, finally, there is indeed a manual (not only in paper form) But was really hard to find the detailed instructions in the nets, improvement is possible here! - The remote criticized - some people can not go really right, sometimes it is overloaded, times missing keys (Control) I have with the FB and operate the AVR's no problem, needed for setup of Use you need the TV anyways, here the FB is used intensively but for the "normal operation" means all Keys as where they should be, I find them absolutely great. "All you really need a day at a glance" (The processing for this price range in order, but not outstanding) - The setup and operation of the AVR's, even without a manual in hard copy or CD absolutely manageable and really easy. Even my wife uses this receiver and does not feel it as complicated (it is not Technikvisiert) - Menu item Factory setting actually missing, but is not really needed. (Simple Easy-Setup restart, LS calibration, menu items by work (I would have anyway to make a reset) done! After a reset (factory settings), all these activities should be carried out) - Convinced the GUI, is tidy and chic - great - The sound is excellent and, finally, the main task of AVR's, the surround sound is to manually adjustable needs adaptable and then top. In general, however, I would like a little better / finer EQ - The SongPal app just fine for my needs, but I think here there is still room for improvement. Until now I was all I needed on this app control without TV, without FB and without the same To be space! An example (the AVR is turned off and wakeup via Bluetooth is active) * Do I turn in my Androidsmartphone Bluetooth * The AVR starts immediately in Bluetooth mode and connects to my Smartphone * Now you might IMMEDIATELY music from your smartphone via Bluetooth streaming (easy, easy) * The SongPal app automatically starts in Hintergrung and connects to the AVR (Here the AVR needs some time to log on the network and register - normal and acceptable) * It is now possible to start eg TuneIn (a button / button) Select preset station * (favorites) and enjoy network / Internet stream (at least that easy) * The most important functions in the app can be controlled ... works! (All in all, stable and with no link failures) * Zone power on off, AVR switches off again, SongPal app is terminated now switch off Bluetooth - ready - made!
So overall I would recommend this AVR, super processed, great features, it is stable, no crashes, service is okay but also a matter of taste. A "fine-tuning" is certainly possible, and thus still room for improvement (also lies in nature -> it is always better). But one should also consider the price and performance for the comparison!
Overall, I love the Receiver fun. You get a lot for relatively little money sound.
PS: I run with the AVR, the Jamo s 628 HCR 3 5.0 system without sub which I would recommend. As comparison system I had the AVR Yamaha AZ1 and the Canton carat M70; M60; CM7DC
(But must confess, have the system not ordered from Amazon, but as a set in conjunction with the LS System Jamo S 628 HCS 3 in the congruence and the total for under 1000EUR) TOLL
UPDATE 12/16/14: In order to prevent mistakenly left unchallenged outdated information:
1. There is to put the AVR in its factory settings an option. 2. The HTML manual is updated and now also easy to find on the Sony website.
