Best Carry-on cases for air travel to a week without Notebook

I have a lot of different cases compared. These cases were in the Test field:
Travelite luggage Portofino IV2 W cabin trolley Max S +
CAPITAL KOFFER Alex, 55 cm
Samsonite Cabin trolley aluminum box Spinner, 55 cm
Samsonite carry-on luggage suitcase New Spark Spinner 55/20
and of course the Samsonite Spinner INOVA spinners 55/20 itself.

All tested suitcase had determine quirks:
* The Travelite Portofino was very cheap, but also processed according to cheap. In addition, it has no rotating rollers, can not be pushed aside and must therefore be carried on the plane.
* The capital suitcase Alex has a lot of space, but is now also much thicker than required and would for example not go through as hand luggage with Ryanair. In addition, the roles are quite stiff / leave the trunk tilt in the direction of change.

Samsonite luggage is building good, especially with good, smooth-running wheels. There are also 5 year worldwide warranty, for frequent travelers very helpful.
* The New Spark Spinner is however already thicker than permitted without charge, with a lot of clothes in which he then bulges out even further. In addition, the zipper is quite stiff.

There remain the aluminum box Spinner and my favorite, the spinners INOVA.

Both cases are good. Smooth gliding wheels, good linkage, Maintained in several positions.
The weight is excellent, packed with clothes for five days incl. Change shoes, running shoes and beauty case weighs the spinners INOVA just (allowed) 8kg. (The aluminum box Spinner is a few grams heavier)
The aluminum box Spinner is the interior just a tad bit better equipped than the spinners INOVA, because, unfortunately, the latter has no interior pockets.
Both cases are the only ones in the test field, which adhere strictly to the acceptance of all airlines extent. In addition to the appearance of the only significant difference in the two is the telescopic handle. During the aluminum box spinner has a double telescope on which can be fixed wonderfully special notebook cases, the spinners INOVA has only one rod which is slightly thicker for it.
Both are stable and easy to use. Even the price is almost the same.

So for what to decide?
-> If you have a laptop bag with the typical holder for double telescopic rods, selects the aluminum box Spinner.
-> Who has a bag without a special attachment with a narrow grip, selects the better spinners INOVA. Only with this can get the loop smaller bags on the handle.

Conclusion:
A recommended case. Stable, smooth, schnörkelos. Not cheap, but with 5-year warranty. Whether the wheels will keep as long, I doubt it, I travel a lot and also roll over cobblestones. After six weeks, there are already signs of wear. But that's whining at a high level, which was previously in each case like this. When in doubt, the replacement of defective components at Samsonite has always worked quickly and easily.

What is this case really distinguished in that it (next to the equally good aluminum box Spinner) as the only actually barely wider than 20 cm and therefore in each case test case fits at the airport. This can pay off already at the very first flight with Ryanair. He has exactly the dimensions specified and fits well on the level (ie 55cm depth when placed) exactly in the baggage compartment of an Airbus A319. He is also very light and comes packed with clothes still not on the approved 8kg. Excellent!

An additional inside pocket would be nice, but would also increase the weight slightly. The price is likely to be somewhat less happy, but counted on the minimum guaranteed lifetime of five years are less than 40 euros per year. This has a single flight per year out, when one renounces checked baggage you.

Overall, I am very satisfied and give full marks.
