At first I could not decide, and I have a lot of pictures taken:
- Macro shots
- Images from the movement
- Extremely colored pictures
- Landscapes
- Portraits
I / usually done with the "automatic" "AUTO" setting of the camera This (above) pictures - my Anfordeung here is that the camera with "standard situations" makes good pictures.
I have done with the corresponding scene settings The following photos.
- Dark rooms
- Evening / Night scenes
The crucial sub-Scheid have the pictures taken in dark spaces - here you could not use the pictures of the Canon camera takes. I have made several settings for dark rooms - not been satisfactory.
Here's a quick comparison chart which I liked better in the end at the Sony and why I have chosen for this camera.
Sony:
+ Trigger / standby time (slightly better)
+ Motion images are sharper
+ Download via USB
+ Camera is compact
- Smaller display (one can also find positive)
+++ Much better images in twilight and in rooms
+/- Color (depending on the situation sometimes one sometimes the other better)
+ Battery lock (because you have to get out pick up the battery of the Canon so I see here in the closure a potentially easy busting point)
+ Flash, always ready (you have at the Canon flash only manually (!!) "herrausholen")
Hope that this assessment helps the one or other.
