I started now with the DVD: longstanding supporters are percussionist Jamey Haddad to see how, Bakithi Kumalo on (sorely restrained) bass, Vincent Nguini undundund. Mark Stewart (of the grotesque rampant sideburns bushes) acts as musical Adlatus, keeps the musicians together and plays a dozen instruments felt. And of course there is still the champion Paul Simon himself. Compared to photographs as the Graceland documentary or even the 2002 Paris concert he acts dressed flashy and would have but not necessary, nor is the apparent alibi Mitgeklimpere with the guitar. That Simon after his erstwhile serious hand injury again could be a top guitarist fan knows anyway and shows PS yes later solo at the concert. - The pauses between the pieces are very short. Either the musicians who actually indulged in between the 20 songs only once a breather, or it was still cut something.
To the music: it is recorded and mixed usual very interesting. Paul Simon draws on its entire impressive repertoire. From Simon & Garfunkel-time he takes a mere "Sound of Silence" and "Only Living Boy in New York", from his solo period the more, not least for his last work. He varies the arrangement and now and then even more, and the musicians are professional enough to get it added. In the Song jewels "Dazzling Blue" about but I already miss the original Indian percussion.
Facilities: nice space-saving in the cardboard cover, a few Photo Papers are; on the DVD extras _no.
Five stars, you can treat yourself.
