Power consumption:
First, I put this already consumed 2000s batteries, whereupon immediate bar to flash the battery icon. I could still make about 30 images, all with flash. Then I put brand new, once charged batteries 2300 a. These have therefore not yet reached its full capacity. So I photographed about 100 images, filmed in between times - a total of about 10 minutes. Then I photographed over two days for about 280 images. And I've often used the zoom and multiple looks at the images. About 80 percent of all images were shot with flash. All images were photographed on the display. After the battery icon bar to flash (200 images), I did not 80 flash photos. So you still have enough reserve when the battery icon flashes. Overall, I thus photographed about 380 images and recorded about 10 minutes video.
Image Stabilization:
I have tested as photos shot with shutter speeds between 1 / 15s and 1s. Up to 1 / 4s I could shoot freehand good and sharp images. At 1 / 2s exposure time I am firmly supported on a wall or door frame. When the camera or similar fixed to a wall, house corner, tree presses, you can even take pictures with 1s.
Conclusion: If you have problems with the power supply, should even consider his batteries, because on the A710 it is certainly not. Some simply forget that batteries need to be cultivated. That includes a vernüftiges charger.
The image stabilization is a good addition. This should enable every layman it even to shoot sharp images up to an exposure time of 1 / 4s.
So you take the A710 + four good battery and a 1 or 2 GB SD card - and the two-week holiday in the South can come!
