ALBUM ACID AND MORE ROCK'N'ROLL

Crisis? What Crisis? (CD)

Customer Review

One of 4 albums Short "golden age" of Supertramp must-have (I also warmly recommend the first eponymous album of 1970). In "Crisis? What crisis?", As announced by the cover, it comes down from space and cosmic sound aspect of "Crime of the Century" to play a more raw album, less product, the more tart sonorities and more realistic inspiration, down to earth! It is not forbidden to dream but just the good weather away from the dullness of everyday life and the London drizzle and vacation in the tropics ... In 1975, disenchantment is already there, Glorious 30 are already buried, and, without knowing that they will be followed by 40 pitiful including the triumph of unbridled capitalism of Margaret Thatcher, a rock we play more "raw apple." Roger Hodgson and Rick Davies perfectly still share the album with their voices, their styles, their compositions both radically different and complementary, but we can say that here is the ironic Rick Davies, syncopated, jazzy, bluezy which prevails to the tone of the album. Always rivalry and this need that the hair of one does not exceed the hair on the other: 1970 "Supertramp" album significantly hodgsonien / 1971: "Indelibly stamped" album significantly daviesien / 1974: "Crime of the Century "balance more in favor of Hodgson / 1975:" Crisis What Crisis "? balance more in favor of Davies "!!! The classic formation of the group, in any case, confirms and reveals once again fully effective.
