Protection side: it's a simple case, to store your computer or tablet, but is 'soft' and not very thick, so it does not offer protection to speak of. Especially as it closes only one button (wooden) in the middle of the opening.
Side dimensions: I have a MacBook Air 13-inch and honestly, it does not come easy .... But it fits. It takes time, if not guaranteed excitement!
No internal or external pockets. But a true +: small pouch in the same fabric to store the mouse or cable! Very cute, and contains a soft cloth to clean the screen of your computer.
