Fast delivery by amazon (ordered on Wednesday, the parcel arrived on Thursday).
I have not even launched Windows 8, so I have no opinion on that.
I installed Ubuntu 12.10 with a bootable USB drive (in the bios, disable the secure boot and change the UEFI in Legacy). After installation and update of Ubuntu Quantal Quetzal everything works smoothly, wifi, bluetooth, brightness settings, sound, trackpad ...
In short, a nice little lightweight laptop that works very well with the latest version of Ubuntu.
