Meaning the new Philips BDP7700. The quasi successor to the 7600 model.
Let's start shortly on what was important to me, the player I'm looking for should have a quiet drive and, more importantly, created BluRay discs can read (by means of software Haenlein).
Both points satisfies the BDP7700. He is very quiet (compared to the current Panasonic BDP320 I had too) and he reads material created BluRay discs Easy, that's rather surprising for Philips.
These for me first "main" points still happens that the player delivers a very very good image (2D and 3D operation) in BluRay and it provides a very very good image in DVD's from. I test usually means Star Wars Episode 3, since much happens, the yellow writing in the beginning, is shown very clearly, the "Star Destroyer" in the beginning, no fraying of the edges, no tremor and in the dark scenes no artifacts, and Finally, the space battle, everything is immaculately presented, would like some say "Almost HD level", which I would not go so far. A DVD is a DVD, only the presentation of the supplies BD7700 is just simply very good. She moves very clearly at the level of the Panasonic player.
As for so image and playability of discs (about my priorities) clearly a recommendation, especially at the good price.
As for the sound, I can not test currently, lack of AV receiver but comes back a.
But now something else to me so absolutely displeases, despite already a firmware update .... the firmware is dam .... oaths. Had in 3 days 8 times !!! pull the plug so that the player überhapt responds again. Clearly too much even if the player is new and is still working on the firmware. Sometimes he does not go out, sometimes can not eject the disc. All annoying error, being at least never greased me while watching, that was "honorable" mention.
All in all, I would bet that the player can be really good by new updates, and may give a total of buy recommendation, if you're looking for a good iron player.
