As previous Lumix TZ user who was very pleased with the image quality in daylight and "bright" shooting, but now no longer accept the limitations of the small 2/3 sensor format, I was looking for a "Newcomer camera" - but I am not "Profi" This has now become the new GF7. Briefly what selection criteria and cameras were concerned about the reasons: the Olympus Pen7 and OMD10, as well as the Sony Alpha 5100th Since I like to have light and small road with my Equipement, the OMD was 10 heavy heart from the selection. For someone who does not really want to pay attention to weight and size, the touch a top camera. When Pen 7 I liked the hinged -and tiltable display and the user interface very well, but no automatic panorama mode and no built-in flash, as well as the not optimal for me Kitobjektiv with minimum focal length 28mm. When Sony 5100 I lack the mode dial and annoyed me the rather complicated menus, no external charger, lens with very heavy compared, and additionally to be paid Apps to all the camera functions to be able to use - Sony, what is this? So now the new camera: Klein + light but very good feel and ease of use, very sharp and bright adjustable display, foldable for Selfies or unusual shooting positions. Touch display with very good function for adjustment or operation of almost all important parameters when taking pictures or image editing. Premium automatic programs with great subject acquisition and excellent image results. Kitobjektiv with 24mm wide angle and initial aperture of 3.5 is much better than expected. No visible distortion or vignetting. The best thing about the Panasonic but the achievable quality of the images and just even in twilight or night scene. Even with 4X digital zoom shots (then in the maximum focal length of 256mm), the image quality is easy on the kleineneren TZ with optical zoom! After a week of training and 500 test photos and 10 videos me the operation has become very familiar and consistent. The mode dial and the touch screen is a real help. Above all, the Focus -and trigger function on display is great for me. Here you can directly affect the image design and control the Est result immediately. Some important menu functions are freely assignable and individualisierenso that they are very fast elegantund accessible in user mode. The built-in flash is hardly required in principle, because even shots to ISO 3200 show very little noise, is not a fully automatic flash, but with decent light output. Ewas weak battery performance, especially in the video mode, for frequent photographer here a second -or even non-battery are required. But but the charger is then helpful. The Wifi function including the app and the operation via iPad and iPhone works perfectly and I personally like very good. The transfer of the images takes some but "the rapid" a great thing. I just chose the Brown model which acts a bit more extravagant than black - but is a matter of taste. As a memory card I did a quick 80-fold micro-SD with adapters with 32GB (SanDisk) in use - works great! All in all a top replacement for TZ and the form factor still always with a camera with very ambitious image quality, wide range of features and almost perfect operator appeal.
