I do not understand some of the negative reviews! I play racing games (like NFS) for many years and am working with game development etc, so I know what I'm talking now. In some reviews it is described that the driving physics is total crap for driving simulations. For driving simulations agrees this! But be careful! Hot Pursuit is an arcade racing game which is not based on driving simulations such as Gran Turismo 5. So this physics is understandable. The funny thing is: Some people say they are losing too much speed than normal when they "drift" around corners. For me this is not the case. It may of course be that I have the idea, but nen Beginners would the technology late least after one week (if jmd. 8hrs a day in front of the screen then hangs even earlier) out. In particular, the sections are adapted for this Fahphysik, so to EA probably thinking what! In addition, some complain that there is no "inside view". This is due back on the arcade racing and driving physics, because the interior view would be confusing! At one point, I give to the "negative critics" partly right: the reaction of the controller to the game is sometimes a little lax, but in general it is to cope with! Now we come to the general game: The game is very well thought out from the action and graphics ago. "Crash-scenes" look Graphically Top. Only in the arrest, I find it a shame that no persons as Most Wanted from the car to get out and arrest the guy, but this is more of a small, persöhnlicher lack ^^ The career system I find well designed, but a bit confusing to start with! If you take no Bock to "Racer" you can simply click "Cop" change and chasing others. A pity, I find that there is no splitscreen mode, but the online mode is simply brilliant! Attention! Anyone who thinks he could with his favorite car ready to rule each race is misplaced! In some contracts you a cart is attributed! Mostly I think it's great because you drive sometimes other cars than always be Favo. (The way I know at Most Wanted or Carbon)
In short:
+ Graphics & Sound + Design of career + Action-packed Details + Online mode + Price; is for a new EA game now!
- No splitscreen - In my opinion, Criterion has had a little too much finger in the pie - Control sometimes too lax
Conclusion: If you want to have an action-packed arcade racing game with Need for Speed Hot Pursuit at a fairly reasonable price well served! Who wants to play better simulations to NFS Shift or Gran Turismo 5 should get (have both played and both are quite ok !!!). Who can wait a little longer to wait for Shift2. :)
