Review after almost completing the game

Assassin's Creed Unity - Bastille Edition - [Playstation 4] (Video Game)

Customer Review

I do not write many reviews but as a passionate fan of the series I have here now sometimes give my two cents about the game.
Long I have been looking forward to the game (play it on the PS4) and played on the first day.

The graph I personally find top. The city has been really recreated detail and also the style fits perfectly in that time. The so often described "bucking" reminds me personally not to.

The new combat system has its advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, it is interesting to note that there now is no longer sooo easy as in the previous parts. The AI has at least some weight, personally but it could be even more. The disadvantage thereto is rather that the view often not enough is all opponents to see. Often simply comes from outside of the view jumped and attacked immediately or shoots his gun from - that somehow always true, whether one behind a wall or in the middle of a crowd -. Here is real potential still there.
Even when some attacks have to be unlocked bothers me a bit, because I want to see it as no real meaning.

The missions themselves are not really recognized at the outset that time. Man wanders around and kills indiscriminately opponents. That could be so exactly been in AC 1. The real reference to the French Revolution found me personally rather than too late.

The control is actually as usual. The much-heralded improvements in terms of Parkour are negligible. Arno jumps back wildly and comes almost everywhere high when one presses plus jump only forward. Unfortunately something uncreative. I also see here a significant deterioration:
many sites are poorly programmed. It happens so often, but that one has climbed under a normal lead here now is final and you can not come on up. If you then crazy the character just a few centimeters is suddenly but okay .... hmmm;)
I also find it strange that he is probably the shortest path from a 50cm high table to jump over 5 meters on a fairly high wall. Since then it bothers me enormously automatic. Just in some fights.

Yet what General:
This compulsion to take the game in the length upsets me fairly. Most of the time you spend nearly so any chests to collect so that we can ever see what on the map. As yet this probably endless "main story" of Abstergo ... happening at all times something? After AC 4 you could laugh about so just yet. And now you have to jump through many portals, only to be able to go where they were straight.
The link to the Initiates App's just another trick to let Ubisoft products draw on the mobile phone / tablet and spy nice. As the price of the game would not have paid enough.
What positives in my opinion are the puzzles (Nostradamus and crime) which can be solved in the whole of Paris. It was nice to play - even if it was not a real challenge. Since you can but still expand slightly in the next episodes.

My Conclusion:
It's a beautiful game that was unfortunately never rehearsed. But worth buying anyway. Mir has so far fallen well, even if eg part 3 was even better. The graph some back out skin in the evaluation. But it seems to me personally "fast-fast throw another game on the market" slightly before and therefore only 3 whole star.

Criticism / questions are welcome :)
