We bought the "friendly Mousetrap" 5 days ago because had taken root in our attic a small guest. One day later, the plastic part was already there - and we were initially admittedly skeptical. There really should enter a mouse? Climb over the plastic bracket and thus convey the small door down? Hmmm ... We have set up the thing. In a shelf, where the mouse is like staying. That was our first mistake. The mouse is clean, but the case was gone! The case is in fact so light that they can be fairly easily upset therein a mouse, it moves persistent enough. So we found only an empty (vollgekackte) case before at the foot of the shelf. The mouse must have just flown the coop, because the case was still steamed up and the mouse has even entgegengeblinzelt us off the shelf from cheeky! Well, the first result was so unsatisfactory, the mouse probably traumatized only temporarily and we upset. 2nd attempt: The case was turned weighted down with a heavy object. No mouse in a trap - just one that is watching us from the shelf from (our mouse was really very naughty!). 3. attempt: the case on the floor (on the wall below the shelf): No mouse in a trap. Bait there. Lights Camera. 4. Experiment: the case in the corner of the shelf - it no object. Bingo! Just in time for Christmas sat the little creature in the friendly (and plenty vollgekackten) case. We have now moved into our garage (far away from the house). Since they can not do anything to ruin and it has a bit warm in this harsh snowy winter :)
As bait we have taken nice sticky candy (caramel) or nut biscuits. Has both worked. That the Kläppchen stuck halfway, I can not really imagine. I have quite a bit herumprobiert so - it is always fallen. Oh, and you can thus actually catch even during the day mice, probably depends, inter alia by bait and the "Aushungerungsgrad" the beast from (I guess).
Conclusion: With a little patience and the right technology, you can even catch the naughtiest mouse! Because it is plastic, you can clean the part very well - what is really important, because you will wonder what such a mouse for an extraordinary digestion has (especially under stress)! The only thing left to say: Good luck with friendly mice catcher!
