"What you can do with it!":
- Can drive the ball through the apartment
- Let him go in the water
- It can change color (over 1000 shades !!! :)
- There are apps that you can play on iOS or Android devices with the Sphero ...
Sounds all super, right?
Yes, 10 mins makes things fun,
but I was the ball bored already on the 2nd day and asked me, finally:
"Is it worth the money?"
If I'm honest ... at least in my opinion: no.
Because:
- The ball does not move particularly fast
- One can not draw precise him
- And the apps ... are ... just .... BORING:) (I think anyway).
I have the Sphero now for 1 week and have not touched it since 3 days ... I think that already says a lot.
My personal conclusion:
The idea to develop a remote-controlled ball was a great idea,
but the Sphero does not provide long-lasting fun and is also quite expensive.
The stated battery life of 1 hour, however, I can confirm,
which is thus compared with other remote-controlled devices rather high.
The connection via Bluetooth has, however, sometimes not so well, that was partly a bit frustrating. (I tried it with different devices)
From me there for connectivity problems, the short game and the high price, which Amazon reviews not bad means two star deduction and therefore only 3 stars.
So I can recommend only restricted Sphero.
Of course, the following applies: I Gusti Gusti sono (tastes are different).
You might find the Sphero absolutely awesome, or you have small children or pets that go to the ball ... then you will certainly have a lot more pleasure than I had.
I hope I could help with the review one or the other.
