The idea to save money, protect the environment and to have no detergent residue in clothing (it was advertised) were decisive for the purchase.
The Ecoegg even make a stable impression. During filling, the first hurdle was the "Kunstoffknopf" which you have to push to open the egg with a twist. This could only be accomplished after several attempts and much effort.
A pack black pearls fill and 3 packs wash beads and the egg is actually good sense. Again "screw" the two egg halves together requires some prudence and acrobatics but it works.
I have followed since I had anyway little laundry, about 1 half drum dark mix wash at 40 degrees washed therewith. It is recommended not to overload the washing machine because the Ecoegg needs space to wander through the laundry. This requirement I had thus more than fulfilled. However, the egg did not produce foam. When I took the laundry from the drum, I saw on the dark shirts detergent residue that is correct "crumbs". Apparently the washing substance has not solved properly by washing beads.
I do not know what I might be doing. One guess is that in my machine was not a sufficient amount of water. The new washing machines operate almost all water-saving, so I can not affect this situation. This problem I have read in other reviews in hindsight.
Another limitation is that it is only suitable for temperatures up to 60 degrees and is designed for machines up to 5 kg capacity.
For me it did not work Ecoegg.
