Solid Office Monitor with good price / performance ratio

I want to preface that I am not a typical power users with high demands in terms such as Wide-Gamut ability of a monitor etc.
The Dell U2713HM is used with me on a daily basis mainly as an office monitor. Of course, I use it also to manage images, but just here no increased quality requirements.

The Dell U2713HM is a solid office monitor - in my opinion - very good value for money. Have (27 inch) LED Monitor (HDMI, DVI, VGA, 5ms response time) black flirted with my purchasing decision with a Samsung SyncMaster S27B970DS 68.6 cm. The delicate but Surcharge has but then let me fall to the Dell my decision.

I am very pleased with the quality, next to each other to edit Office documents on the high resolution is really fun. The illumination and color rendition I find very good. The various adjustments for height adjustment, tilt and rotation are well resolved and should cover the needs of most good.
Could not detect any disturbing noises or incorrect illuminations. The latter at least not under normal conditions Office (ie not in the laboratory and in the sense ;-) if something had been disturbing my normal eye.
I particularly liked the numerous connection options, since one of HDMI (Attention only possible FullHD) via DVI to DisplayPort has a wide variety of connectivity options. USB ports I have not in use. I run the U2713HM on DisplayPort, but I've tried also the HDMI connection with my satellite receiver.
The upscaling works very well and I think that one could thus theoretically good use of the device as a TV replacement, When upgrading the monitor still to speakers (eg Dell Soundbar).

But that brings me to a peculiarity that I myself had not thought of before, and why I want to give only 4 stars.
The Dell U2713HM has no automatic input Select. Say you have to select the input source always manually. You can create a quick selection for one of the buttons Although, it would be yet more elegant to get this automatically determined by the monitor. Especially as other Dell monitors very well equipped with an automatic source detection.
This limits the use of eg a TV and work tool but a little, because it is a bit tedious to always have to select the input source with parallel port first. Perhaps that is retrofitted yet firmware update?

Nevertheless, a highly recommended monitor, I would recommend without any major restrictions on its provision as an office monitor.
