Since I had to send in my Xperia ZL for repair, I looked around for a transition or replacement phone.
And so I went to a electrical shop and took various models into their own hands.
The current top models I felt all a bit too large, and the cheap models I liked the performance or not really turn me these were too small.
But right away I liked immediately the LG G 2 (although this has a larger screen than my Xperia ZL, it looked the same size) and the Xperia M2 (which is slightly larger than the Xperia ZL, but slightly thinner and despite lower Power made a good impression.
Since I will use but possibly my Xperia ZL again and at least 180 difference between the two models M2 and G2 are (at base there is the Xperia M2 currently 179), I opted for the cheaper option and ordered me the Xperia M2 ( Although I found relatively little testing on the net about it).
Design / Processing
One thing first, the mobile phone is not waterproof ...
The Xperia M2 builds on the success of Sony Design, which stands out with straight lines, with simple, yet elegant design.
The mobile phone acts like a top device, such as the Xperia Z, Z1, or the like from Sony.
I like the design very well and most are not exact at the Xperia M look really consider a high-end models.
Differences really recognizes you look only at very precise and in processing I have not found anything to complain about, it was just like the Xperia ZL a rubberized edge and a quality image.
It is good one cm longer than the Xperia ZL for but also slightly slimmer, the width is the same.
The back of the phone is I do not think of glass, even though it seems, these acts but still noble, but is sensitive to fingerprints, this does not bother me, because I always have a silicone shell.
Who came up with the idea, the volume buttons of the On / Off Switch to place it on the left-center device side I do not know, though, everything can be easily operated but Comfortable operation of the buttons on the top of the unit area would have been.
Fortunately, there is a camera button, located at the bottom right, so you do not always torment the touch screen when you want to take a snapshot.
All control buttons have an appealing tactile feedback and can be good press.

Display:
The display with its 4.8 "and a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels is a good size and the intensity is for this price range more than okay.
I am pleasantly surprised, although you get no HD, the representation is nevertheless good and sufficient (I say this, the previously used a Xperia ZL).
In direct comparison with a top mobile phone of course is still room for improvement, but these devices cost a bit more.
The sharpness of the display remains constant even when not straight angle, which is an improvement compared to the Xperia ZL.
The display does a good job, it responds very well and precisely to wipe, stroke, zoom etc.
Unfortunately, it's not quite as easy to read in direct sunlight.
The inner values:
The intrinsic values can be seen through out the 1.2GHz quad-core processor works fast and offers good performance, so it almost never comes to a juddering and demanding games run well.
Surfing the Internet makes with the large display and the good performance really fun.
The mobile phone works well, even if multiple applications are opened simultaneously.
There phone has 8GB of internal memory which is less than a 5 GB available, which is nice, but even nicer is the SD slot, so I got my 32GB memory card into the device planted and this has been recognized without any problems.
Thus there should be no space problems.
Multimedia / Camera and Co
The 8MP camera takes mediocre pictures that turn out in good lighting but quite usable.
For the darkness is there to prevent the worst attempts a LED lamp.
The camera offers many little extras and I am quite satisfied with it, but whoever it considers to digicam be disappointed.
Mobile cameras are simply a nice gimmick and no camera replacement.
From derFunktion AR effects I'm thrilled here Smurf-like creatures, including village, a dinosaur world, including volcano, or an underwater world with active camera on the display appears much more, these effects move properly in the room and found delicious snapshots.
The whole is implemented really awesome and something I have never seen before, thumbs up!
The music player is good and can convince me I have but someday brought the Pro Player and use this instead of the standard player.
The music quality is okay, it's good but not outstanding.
The Small Apps makes me happy, so can you lightning fast access to a calculator, timer, notepad and Co.
Even with the camera, there are lots of little gimmicks and for social network fans also has much to offer, since I am neither in Twitter nor Facebook account, I can not say very little.
NFC and LTE are even on board what has really rare heist worth in this price range.
So you get a package around with good performance and decent quality, chic design.
Making calls / Reception
Yes, you can even use a mobile phone, the Empfamg is really good, I even have the feeling that this is a tick better than my Xperia ZL, but this is the hearing and speech quality slightly worse, which does not mean that these grottig is, but you can tell a difference.
In hands-free mode or in Lautem listening to music, the speakers achieved a good volume.
Battery:
My Xperia ZL watching for a normal day: something Whatsapp, something in standby mode, about 1.5 hours away. Games, 1.5 hours away. Listening to music, about 1 hour to surf, check email, something Ebay and Amazon, in the evening or the next tTg to the socket, here is the Xperia M2 persistent and creates 2-3 days, depending on use, is what I'm really surprised!
But who plays a lot and sophisticated, will probably still need all 1-1.5 days to the store.
The battery is permanently installed but unfortunately ...

Conclusion:
It is a chic mobile phone which is visually indistinguishable from the current high-end models from Sony.
The workmanship is good and the device has for this price range a lot under the hood, so everything runs smoothly and not too slow.
Although the display does not come to the HD resolution ran, but looks beautiful and is of view Stable.
But it serves to weaken in direct sunlight.
LTE and NFC are not common in this price range and a nice little bonus, the camera is so-so but nice features.
The low internal memory with 8 or 5GB storage is easy to cope with the SD card slot.
Positive I would like to highlight the battery power by keeping 2-3 days depending on usage.
You get a well-equipped midrange model at a fair price.
Should errors and creep like I will adjust the valuation.
