Back unexpected for a wonderful indie-pop ballad

More than 20 years after "Trompe le Monde", it would be absurd to expect the Pixies (aka "biggest band in the world in my eyes") serve us the same great grub that has made them successful.

This fifth album is finally an effective synthesis of ballads "Doolittle" and strange space-Christic incursions "Trompe le Monde".

If some ballads appear more conventional than in the past (Frank Black's been there), they take off the brain after a few more plays. On the other raging power is there.

In fact, sil was classed among the albums of Pixies, "Indie Cindy" is far from being the best: less than awesome Doolittle, less than helmed "Trompe le Monde", less than haters "Surfer Rosa", the less air that "Bossanova ". But deep down, without forcing, the Pixies, 23 years later, is paying the luxury of being in the current Linde frontrunners, other places are mainly occupied by consenting followers of Mr. Black Francis. Respect for this insufficiently known genius for my taste.
