Design and processing

Both smartphones are very classy and feel wertig in the processing. In this regard, I though the P7 like a little better, but that is probably a matter of taste as a whole. Both phones rely on metal and a unibody. However, when G7 a little plastic was used on the backside, in order to ensure a good antenna performance.
Overall, so you should go after the personal taste here.
Display

For me, a very important point and this is probably one of the biggest differences between the two smartphones. The Ascend P7 dissolves with FullHD, while the G7 dissolves "only" with HD. The display of the P7 is a tick lower than that of the G7, but shows natural colors, high illumination and good sharpness. The display shows the G7 by its weaker resolution even sometimes fringed writings, but in general I find the display as well. The brightness is sufficient and the colors look very natural.
However, for me there was a criterion that spoke against the Huawei Ascend P7:
The display of the P7 shows a distinct yellow tinge, which is more just in the lower part with a long phone runtime because liquefies inside the adhesive and re-solidifies, depending on how hot the smartphone is currently running.
Each one has this yellow tinge different, sometimes more, but sometimes less. Me anyway, he did not bother.
Power

The Huawei Ascend P7 uses a developed by Huawei 1.8GHz quad-core processor (32 bit), while the G7 on a 1.2GHz CPU of Qualcomm is strong (64bit). The P7 appears on the paper thus stronger, but when using the smartphones I noticed quickly that the huaweieigene production work here much more slowly. Apps launch greatly delayed, stuttering when scrolling on the home screen are not uncommon. In this area, the G7 shows its advantages. Despite slower clocking the operation is very smooth and Apps start quickly enough.
The RAM is equipped with both with 2GB, which should be sufficient at the present time. Fewer but it should not be.
Software

On both devices running KitKat, but the Ascend P7 is still with the EMUI 2.3 and an update is not yet to my knowledge in sight. While the G7 Ascend against running also with KitKat, but has already received an update to version 3.0 of its own EMUI surface.
The surface like this excellent to me! After many years, the playful Samsung have endured Touchwiz interface, the entschlackte and intuitive interface of Huawei is definitely a boon. Although the fnish reminds iOS, but has enough own ideas and operation freedoms to go through not just as a mere plagiarism. And: Better well stolen than badly made itself;)
Accumulator

In this area, the Huawei Ascend G7 is the clear winner. The battery keeps the device namely loose by 2 days at normal use. The only strong 2400mAh battery of the Ascend P7, however, already made limp with me for a day. The reason for this is probably the higher-resolution display and the not quite as effective processor.
Reception / sound quality

The receiver works without problems with both. Could not write anything negative in this area.
However, the sound quality is just average for both smartphones. About the preinstalled player, the sound comes out of the socket bassarm and height emphasizes. Through the installation of another player with EQ function this problem but it should be corrected. I myself hear a Zorro HD headphones, the sounds generally very neutral, so to me the difference was also particularly hard on.
Other

Huawei Ascend G7:
The buttons on the right side does not seem to rattle some buyers, but also many.
Although I have keys with a little more room, feel the loose residences of the keys, but not as annoying.
On the contrary, as the keys have a pleasant pressure point and a fall the loose buttons on the safe side are likely to be because they just have some air. Whether they are, however, still loose, must be observed. Then that would be namely a sticking point in the processing and not to tolerate.
Positive to mention is still that the G7 included already a Handyhülle! I knew personally nor by any manufacturer and I feel very commendable as real. Although I have a slightly thicker rubber cover to buy, but to start with the enclosed envelope served its purpose.
When Huawei Ascend P7 on the other hand is not a cover.
Conclusion: Despite a weaker display I would always prefer the G7 the P7. Performance, battery life and software speak for themselves. As a finishing touch, there is then also a Handyhülle it. What more do you want?
Sure, minor weaknesses allowed Also the G7, but the perfect smartphone exist (yet).
So if you currently encountered in mobile Neukauf on these two devices, I recommend the Huawei Ascend G7.
