Tester was me, unfortunately, only one is available, an HP Officejet 7500 series. Was printed in the mode inkjet paper.
In order to assess a paper, it takes mE following minimum requirements:
- A number of papers to be tested in parallel, the same printer, the same template
- It is used a professional master
- There are tested both text and graphics is now photos
In my test, I used the artwork of druckerchannel.de (photo page) and ok4you.at. So you can always download and compare.
Of the many criteria that you can fix, I have chosen:
- Whiteness: how white the paper appears (not: Wisdom ;-)
- Color rendering: how strong, bright but also of course the colors appear
- Bleeding: how strong colors run into neighboring above (mainly black in yellow)
- Curling: how much the paper curls in areal photo printing
- Shine through: how much you can see the printed back by
- Price-Performance Ratio
Professional tests naturally offer more, but these criteria are the most important in my opinion directly comprehensible for the average consumer and in particular of any.
Results
Overall I can say that the branded products do worse than might be expected, especially iB on the price-performance ratio.
The Geha paper is 8 cents per sheet by far the most expensive. The front justifies the price almost, although the paper by printing on both sides me better. The back is good for text, but for graphics under mediocrity: pale colors to contrast grayscale (black and white photos are losing details) and especially an extreme blooming areas of photos a single-sided printing on the front. But that the real price rises again apparent to those who would print on both sides.
The papers from Avery and Sigel are almost identical and largely mediocre: not quite know more waves, relatively pale colors and seem stronger by. The blooming is at Sigel about average, at Avery already stronger - and on both sides. Thus, the Avery-Zweckform is 4 cents / Bl clear losers and Sigel with only 2.32 cents / Bl after all, a recommendation for those who seek a better, stronger paper for frequent use.
The winner is clearly pressure me: top marks in all categories! It provides the purest of all 5 white papers, minimal wave formation, graphics jets literally, it shows no blooming and by far the least translucence. Taste is the reproduction of skin tones - which are rather a bit excessive as natural. The back has exactly the same quality. Priced at 5.5 cents per sheet, the price-performance ratio is still very good.
The second surprise was the Aldi-paper. In comparison to the papers 1-third it blooms considerably less and is otherwise almost equal, even if it shows through more. Priced at about 1.2 cents / sheet it is clear value winner.
Conclusion: If you print on one side only and is satisfied with 80g / m², can confidently remain at Aldi. Who often a wertigeres paper and want to print on both sides, will be satisfied with the Sigel Paper. Those who want more, the remains of the more expensive though but still favorable Testsiger pressure me, because a lot better.
The three stars of the Sigel Paper are for the average quality on both sides of the paper at low price.
