I'm building this external review in a different way to when I'm doing it otherwise. With a little more pathos and less scientific. And I'll tell you why: When you differently than before - not constantly buying new equipment, you quickly forget how expensive are actually current smartphones. More specifically: How much actually [b] good [/ b] current smartphones.
I first came back so right on it when I wanted to buy a new device for my wife recently, on the one hand not crippling takes three seconds to WhatsApp open and another four if you still want to use the camera app and on the other hand not immediately 350 Euro or costs more. And honestly? At this price it is then faster than you think.
And since my Wiko devices that I was allowed to test until now came back (and of which I indeed the Darkside call my own) to mind. Should it not be a Cink Peax 2? Around 150 euros. Or perhaps you prefer a Dark Night or Dark Moon for under 200 euros? All these devices have 1GB RAM, have quad-core processors and run at lightning speed and without delay through the menu and in all apps into it.
But as women are so: she did not want. Were too large. Were not red. Women's issues halt. ;) Although it was not in principle averse and her Dark Full and here we are for the first time shortly in more detail when it comes to even very appealed. Wow, that's really thin and indulges the hand! She's right. And the display is really great. Again, she is absolutely right. Wiko has installed a Full HD display in Full Dark: 1920x1080 pixels at 5 inches. This means 441 PPI (the iPhone 5 has 326 PPI). A peak! More details about this later in the area of display.
So, back at the price: If you wanted to elsewhere a smartphone with Full HD display for sale, where is then there approximately? Some examples:

I'm just delighted with the value for money and almost annoyed that you often have to spend so much more money for other smart phones that bring the average Joe user normally no advantage.
Of course, who strikes with its LTE downloads over the mobile phone and want to download 1GB in four minutes, which is (so far) is incorrect in the Wiko devices. Most users will hardly have more than 1GB data volume and also be satisfied if the data on HSPA +, 3G or WCDMA flow properly. Because other things are important: It has a good display? Is the processing well? The battery lasts long enough? When the touch screen properly? Etc. & c.!
Equally striking is the way of the view, if one dares him the other way, which is to look at what you actually get in the price range of Wiko Dark Full (about 260 euros). Since there is not much. Especially not with such equipment. The displays are smaller, not so brilliant, the cameras (at least nominally) bad [especially the Frontcams. This also later], 2GB Ram One looks in vain, quad-core processors as well. In short: It's damn difficult, to say nothing of devices with dual SIM capability entirely.
After all the noticeable enthusiasm, I go once against the expectation before and start with all the things you could have done better:
Properly many there is not as expected.
- The main camera promises with its 13 megapixels, although much, but only makes an average of good photos. A layman would perhaps think at 13MP, that there is more behind it. More on this in camera below.
- The battery is firmly installed. This is positive for the processing, but bad if you want to change it once. The 2000mAh are okay, but had at the full HD display quite a bit can be longer, if you come too easily throughout the day. More on this below battery
- The memory is not expandable and unfortunately limited to 16GB. This is for many quite a knockout argument. It bothers me at times of clouds, of PCs in each close, sometimes just over pull out of the way with USB OTG data on a flash drive or from play from the stick, not. Even my Darkside has only 16GB ROM, which I do not fully get. However, someone who wants to have his half mp3 collection always there and yet at the same time one or the other film looks, naturally different. Here, everyone has to decide individually.
- Unfortunately, the status LED has only two colors. Nothing wild, but it would be nice if one could distinguish emails from WhatsApp messages, SMS or missed calls.
- The WLAN radios only 2.4GHz and not to 5GHz. This is in practice, however, not normally wild, because it is fast enough with Überträgungsraten, which are far above 50Mbit.
LTE is exactly how NFC is not onboard. What bothers me is not that. For me, the normal surfing speed which gives me even after all HSPA + with 42MBit / s is sufficient. In a year I see it might be different if LTE has also even more widespread.
NFC I had previously in other devices and have never used it.
Not optimally solved is the arrangement of the connections and controls surrounding the instrument. This starts with the power button, the right [b] the volume buttons located on [/ b], which in a relatively large unit, such as the Dark Full, in people with smaller hands leads that you have to reach around to turn on or later to operate the device. Here you had the keys better the other way around arranged, although I have no problems with it.
The power / USB connector is supplied with the device on the top, while the 3.5 mm jack has landed below. Usually it is the other way around. Here disturbs me especially the relatively sharp edge of the headphone jack. For more information see processing.

As with the Stairway or Dark Night Wiko selects the now-familiar chic plastic packaging, under the transparent front one can already recognize the smartphone. In the case of the above photos, the screen protector is only remained at the site. ;-) In addition you will find a flat-USB cable together with power adapter, a Quick Start Guide, an adapter in order to use nano-SIMs can, a SIM needle for inserting the SIM card, a headset with microphone and different sized earplugs in packaging. Display
In the name of the device is already infected: Dark [b] full [/ b] and that means just Full HD namely strong 441ppi to 5 inches. That's knackscharf. So far, I was of the opinion that a normal HD resolution of 1280 x 720 is quite enough, but once you've thrown the views of the crisp writing and the icons, then you will not go back actually. What I wished that my Wiko Darkside had such a display. But this display made me feel very very long but if I should not establish a Dark Full me. But I hang too much on the 5.7 inches of the Dark Side. But from personal issues back to the hard facts: the display is protected by Gorilla glass, scratch should not it be so fast. In addition, you can operate the unit due to the high sensitivity of the screen while wearing gloves. Thanks OGS technology, the power consumption is lowered.
That watching videos, browsing, e-mail writing and more to do everything at 1080x1920 pixels to 5 inches of fun, I do not have yes mention extra. ;) For this display alone the purchase will have been worth it for many. I have to use no problems this display size, with smaller fingers but it is difficult with one hand to reach the top of the screen, which you should consider before buying.
In conclusion: The touchscreen simultaneously recognizes up to 10 fingers.
Processing / usability
Many buyers are so skeptical about the build quality at affordable devices. I Reborn. The main reason is that I have often bad experiences, for example did with cheap tablets that promised much but creaked at all and ends, where the display gave way when it served, etc., etc..! When Dark Full We have the usual Wiko-quality, and that is in my parlance an absolute distinction. All devices that I was allowed to test previously were handled properly and felt in very high quality. This is no different when Dark Full. The back is made of aluminum and are the device of course still a further touch of elegance. By permanently installed battery, there is no creaking or similar. The unit is very well processed. The lateral insertion of the micro-SIMs on small drawers works fine using the SIM needle.
Chance of reported users, different televisions of Wiko shook the volume keys, thereby making noises. I was fortunate enough to find so far in any tester (and not even in my Darkside) everything is and also the Dark Full bombproof.
However, what is less well resolved, the arrangement of the control buttons The volume buttons sit just like the power button on the right side of the device. Unfortunately The latter is mounted on the rocker for the sound, so that stretch the thumb pretty or you have to embrace precisely.
Added that the charging jack (top of the unit) and headphone jack (bottom of the device) are attached, that bothers me less than the fact that the phone jack is really sharp. Of course, the Dark Full again has the classic sensors, such as a light sensor, a proximity sensor and a motion sensor, for example, be used in the Smart Gesture Features.
In addition, you will find above in addition to these sensors (where the 5MP Frontcam is located), the status LED, which unfortunately has only two colors, namely red and green. That's at Wiko standard and can also be found as before in other devices again. I can live with that, but I would if I had the choice, at least blue and white wish to order more accurately between email, SMS, WhatsApp and to distinguish missed calls. The size of the Status-LED is just right for my taste. It is unobtrusive and yet highly luminous. When Dark Night contrast was found significantly more powerful, red dot.
Was I in the last test equipment (Stairway, Dark Night and Cink Peax 2) a little disappointed that other keyboards than the built-in an unpleasant vibration behavior brought on keypress with it (I speak mainly of Swift Key here), this was the Dark Full improved. SwiftKey is as much feedback when pressed by itself as the standard Android Tastatatur that came with (and even a spell checker offers). Memory
Tjaja. 16GB offers Wiko Dark Full. Here the spirits are divorced. Especially because you just can not expand the memory via micro SD. I have fixed in Darkside 16GB memory and am never come close to the limit. However, I also use cloud services to bring my photos to your PC (which I have so far not even bother which had deleted from the phone) and have no one who must always have 2000 mp3s and 3 feature films with this. This looks a train driver might be quite different. That, however, can at least connect a USB flash drive via USB OTG feature and access in one second on all the information sticks and use on your Smartphone. A cool feature. Of course, also keyboards, mice and other devices can be connected. For example, I once with a Microsoft wireless there - tried Mouse: No problem at all (!)!

But again back to memory size and the lack of interchangeability: Who does not want to rely on cloud services or ones mentioned above usage has, must expect to re-charge the phone more often even with data or to push them in between on the PC. I myself use but easily some apps, Navi programs (with large maps), so have some photos on the phone, music and radio plays and'm long away from the fact that the memory is low.
Performance
Thanks to quad-core CPU with 1.5 GHz per core and in this price range also virtually impossible-to-find 2GB of memory, the Dark Full runs through the menu, opens Apps quickly and reliably and performs in the normal workday no weaknesses. Since Wiko the user kindly indeed imposes no systemaufblähenden and running background apps that speed is consistantly good. Even in games the system looks good, though of course the current asphalt 8 so some calls from GPU Power VR SGX 544MP, which must, after all, ensure that the game runs at 1080 x 1920 pixels. Here are quite minor stuttering felt. Since I anyway hardly to not play, at least not those games, it does not bother me. Angry Birds and Co run course without problems. Who but a pure looking (!) Game machine should not pick up the Dark Full.
For me, however, is the normal menu and everyday performance, switching between apps and These kinds of important and exactly play Quad Core and RAM its full performance.
In benchmark values I renounce, because these are anyway mostly meaningless when it comes to the actual performance of the device in everyday life.
Accumulator
Speaking at everyday. The battery is next to the display and the basic performance of the main points in a smartphone, especially when that sets his sights on dual SIM. And since the question is quite justified if 200mAh rich with a full HD display. After all, the Friars Minor, and Stairway Dark Night, indeed 2000mAh bring and who only the smaller HD resolution and processors with less gigahertz. But the worry is unwarranted. First, the OGS technology causes the display consumes less power than regular LCDs and second Wiko has probably installed a proper energy management. Pure video look is enough for at least two to three films. It comes with the Dark Full anyway problems beyond the normal working day, the device needs but normally, so average use with some SMS, phone calls, e-call, surfing the net and listening to music, the evening recharge. If you use only one SIM card, the term will be extended somewhat, but in my experience not serious.
Replaceable battery is not unfortunately. It's at this price not so annoying as a 600 euro device, but it is one or the other users do not like safe, especially if you want to use his smartphone for more than two years. The average user but will probably have no problems here.
Camera
Selfies. Yes, this term is often heard lately. The photo menu itself offers the user a number of options, and especially features. So you can animate photos using the Cinema graph you can shoot Kugelpanoramos or undesirable simply remove with the magic eraser from the photo. Face Detection and Co are also one of the party.

Call quality, sound and connectivity
The residue category, but no less important. ;-) And here there is, in terms of clarity of the opponent absolutely nothing to complain about. Call quality is good. The earpiece volume is average, could be a bit loud for my taste at the last stage. In normal everyday life no problem, but the stadium visit it will probably a little more difficult and you have to concentrate on the very opposite.
The speaker function could also use some more steam. For listening in at the table, it is sufficient, but you must not be in another room, otherwise one understands nothing.
The [b] Wireless [/ b] has a good range (and even in the smallest bar display is still playback of high-resolution YouTube videos possible because I was certainly surprised), it transmits but only in 802.11 b / g / n, however there with more than 50 Mbit. Also an issue that bothers a lot of interesting at cheap devices: If the [b] GPS module [/ b] well? Yes, it's the Dark Full, as with all Wiko devices tested so far from me. The fix takes only a few seconds and the accuracy is very good. I use the Dark Side (and have in the last few weeks the Dark Full) as a navigation system with Sygic, as speed camera detector with Blitzer.de app and as dashcam with AutoGuard. All of these apps use the GPS of the Dark Full, the masters its tasks perfectly.
Among the features as music playback device I can not make sufficient information, I'm relatively undemanding there. The supplied headphones in my opinion, good sound. An equalizer and Co I have never tried myself and never played it.
The Dark Full also brings with even a radio that can be controlled and adjusted via the included app. The headphones act as an antenna here then.
Dual SIM capability
Last but not least, a look at one of the main features of the device. I have already described it in detail in the other tests, but it should be mentioned here again. The integration of two SIM cards into the system is perfectly managed.
Of course, both SIMs to be active simultaneously and received both calls and SMS.
You can also adjust everything from which SIM of SMS are sent by default, or you might want to choose every time. That works too. The same applies to calls. Or one defines its own list of contacts that you want to call only on SIM A or B. So you can separate private and Business prima.
And overall there lately so many great deals that scream just after a dual SIM device: An effective data rate in a SIM slot, a favorable Allnet-Flat in others. And now one has used the device for less money perfect.
In the Dark Full menu, the SIMS can be separated in color, so you always have an eye through which SIM example, a call has gone. Also here the dual-Dialer is used, ie one has the phone menu two listeners, one of which is in each case SIM1 or SIM2. This was unfortunately forgotten the Stairway.
