I run photography as a hobby and I started with a Sony Alpha 550 about 4 years ago, I then switched to the Sony SLT 65. After then again changed to Sony SLT 77, which I have already been sold, because I can only say that I regret the change to 77 MK2 Sony SLT in any way.
Positives:
- The case and the keys have not changed to the control dial, one feels at home immediately
- The autofocus is sensational - quickly and accurately and almost focus to the edge addition is possible
- The noise performance has improved significantly compared to its predecessor
- The electronic viewfinder is in my opinion an optical viewfinder with all its possibilities of information display and so far superior
Neutral:
- The fact that the GPS module has been replaced by the WiFi module I do not really care, because I already found a perfect solution
- The locking of the knob would not necessarily needed, but is not really disturbing
Negatives:
- Possibly the missing auxiliary light, which is here then but already is "nagging at the highest level"
I've been using the Sony Alpha ILCA 16-50 2.8 the perfect camera for me found 77 II in conjunction with the Sony SAL and want this "dream team" give none Falls more.
All those who rummeckern for the missing GPS and I can therefore give the camera to a poor reviews do not understand or comprehend and enter the Second following tip:
iPhone or Android App "Ultra GPS Logger" and on the PC "GeoSetter".
The link created by the smartphone file with the photos taken in GeoSetter and already it seems as if the GPS module would not be missing in the camera. This is the previously mentioned perfect solution, at least for me. In my eyes, this variant even a tad works better than the built-in GPS module in the camera. Because I start the GPS Logger simply via your phone before I start my hike whatever, photo tour or. So I can be sure that I have all the GPS data also. When Sony SLT 77 I have some photos that do not have GPS data, as it always takes some time until the camera has also found the next satellite.
Conclusion:
For me, the perfect camera in my eyes also probably the best time to APS-C camera on the market and I can only give a thumbs-up and anyone who is wondering about this camera to buy, highly recommend !! !
