Well done, Sangean

The digital radio is, as usual in Sangean, very good. As always: telescopic antenna fully undress, a site at the window brings receiving benefits. With this device, I get the transmitter, which could not be received with a similar portable radio from Roberts. FM reception: even with fully extended Telekopantenne weak, only three (local) stations come free from noise. Forget it, you do not buy 150 digital radio, then so FM to hear. The Internet radio is easy to operate, TV channels without any noticeable delays, the station lists are logically. The synchronization with an account with Frontier works excellent and brings personalized station lists on radio.
Operation: logical. Facility: quite simple, I had to look again at the manual to register the radio at Frontier.
I use the radio with 5000 mAh batteries from Ansmann. A wise decision of Sangean, to rely on the powerful D-size batteries. Term until recharging for about a week in an operation of about 1-1.5 hour per day. This is a so power hungry device, as it is an Internet Digital Radio now time, a great performance. In battery / battery various power saving modes are enabled, I've left as default. The display is switched off radio dark (that does not show the time in), WLAN is disabled, etc. The radio will then connect to the Wi-Fi and inclusive start of the stream in about 20 seconds.
The large battery make the device more difficult and in conjunction with the non-slip feet quite stable, so that one-handed operation is possible without any problems, without the device from slipping.
The monochrome display way, is not the force, the contrast is extremely viewing angle dependent and scrolling jerky.
The firmware update was easily over wireless network and must be carried out in the network operation.
The menu and menu language is English. Although there is a menu for setting the menu language, but that has until now only the preset to English.
