Simple but still valuable and meticulously crafted. To the smartphone around a small metal strip has been processed. That looks really good. I have large hands and pack ever happy vigorously. This device makes at least nothing, since nothing creaks. I have unfortunately allowed to experience different at much more expensive phone. The processed plastic has a fine texture and has a good grip. By the way, the plastic does not smell well. For a low-priced "entry-level" smartphone Anyway, I'm more than pleasantly surprised. Ne, actually, I'm very impressed.
Telephone reception / practicality: *****
The phone reception and voice quality are absolutely fine. So this smartphone is one thing above all, namely, perfect for everyday use. That's exactly what I expected.

This smartphone has not only simple GPS, but (I'm thrilled) even A-GPS. Because the A-GPS is an additional support system for real GPS. AGPS uses data from the GSM network to the receiver to transmit auxiliary data flying the positioning faster to success. Was processed a newly developed 650 MHz faster processor. This is efficient enough for everyday use. My applications open at any rate fast and fluid. However, the processing power has its limits. If you simultaneously open multiple applications, this processor the breath goes out slowly. For a smartphone in this price range, there are still 5-deserved star.

My Conclusion:
This is my first smartphone from Alcatel. I get for a sensational low price a fully suitable for everyday use smartphone with dual SIM and a GPS / A-GPS. The processing and in particular the facilities are comparable to that of a regular smartphone middle class. I forgive here really like 5 star. For this price range, the Alcatel OT-918D is an absolute highlight.
