Remole of Frescobaldi (Tuscany / Italy) - very simple, meaningless wine. Tastes me personally too thin. Who likes to drink dry expressive red wines is wrong here. The wine from Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon falls compared to other representatives from Tuscany (recommended is for example the Santa Cristina Antinori) at the same price from too far.
Chateau les Vergnes rouge (Bordeaux / France) - dry, full of red wine, nicely conveys the typical Bordeaux character - fruity but slightly bitter. Do not overdo it with the camps, despite its origins. 1-2 years but problems. For the low price a nice representative of the Bordeaux. As you get else for around 5 euros much scrap palmed.
Roodeberg of KWV (Stellenbosch / South Africa) - hearty red wine with pleasant fruit flavors, but a little bit special. The blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon you realize its 14% something clearly. He's with the Mont Gras and the Riscal one of the bearings most wines in the package and can withstand a few years very well.
Mont Gras Cabernet Sauvignon Syrah Reserva (Colchagua Valley / Chile) - velvety, complex red wine with lovely aromas of dark fruits. The Chilean Personally I like this the best package. He is the most demanding wine and brings a very good aging potential with.
Marques de Riscal Tempranillo 1860 (Castila y Leon / Spain) - typical Spanish, expressive character with a strong touch of oak. For me personally this oak note is too intrusive, despite only 5 months of storage in oak casks. But he has a very beautiful color in the glass and is not a bad wine, but a Rioja from Riscal or other producers would have liked better un this package. The wine can be kept well still securely 3 year (if stored correctly).
Weighbridge Chardonnay Peter Lehmann (BarosavValley / Australia) - something simple white wine with a light peach note. Personally he had too much acid, but it is also one of the best wines of the package. Nevertheless, there are only slightly more expensive better representative for whites Australia Penfolds Koonunga Hill such as the Chardonnay.
Conclusion: If you want to gain an overview of representatives known wine regions and the different characteristics of the wines times, getting here without much effort a finished laced package. Representatives from Italy, South Africa and Australia, unfortunately, fall off a bit and are not quite as characteristic of their home as the other three wines. Must discard one but definitely not the 6 bottles.
Those who know a little better, can certainly put together a more coherent composition itself or is already in taste specific. For beginners and cross-drinkers, it is however at a reasonable price a nice package.
