I ordered the cable for my older hard drive that a FireWire 400 6-pin has to be connected to my MacBook Pro mid 2010. This works well. Write and read speeds of 35+ MB / s are thus feasible (USB walked no more than ~ 27MB / s).
The processing of the cable is ok. The price / performance ratio is great!
