Power:
The best thing about this device, one can quite a lot to do with it. From professional photo about video editing up
to gamble the Lenovo Y50 can actually, thanks i7 4710HQ with 8 logical processors and the GTX 860m from Nvidia (Maxwell architecture)
everything to solve almost the best satisfaction. You can tell just what's in the notebook indoors and even at start-up of Y50's the 8GB SSD cache of hybrid hard drive become noticeable. Restarting took impressive 7 seconds.
For the gamers among those interested: Tested were games like "Dead Rising 3, Skyrim, Far Cry 4, Dying Light".
Used photo and video editing programs were "Photoshop, Sony Vegas, Adobe After Effects" and a few others.
Were edited videos in 1080p, with the image processing were some layers in the 3-4 digit actively with relatively high quality of the individual layers (from 2000x2000 and up) and the unit was not particularly sweat.
Material and processing:
The aluminum case of Y50 acts always in the right quality and processed accurately, thanks to the housing, the
Different heat generation at power significantly absorbent applications very well and is not distracting hot.
Single Mankum here is that you get thanks to aluminum housing relatively quickly to see fingerprints.
The keyboard is very well made. It took not long to get used to it. The gaps are
enclosed, giving crumbs or remnants rarely find their way beneath the keys and furthermore it is not disturbingly loud
while typing. The keyboard illumination I initially perceived as a nice gimmick, but later it has proven to be quite useful, as you have yet ever looked after a button and you sat in a not so strongly lit room.
What I'm missing is but FN shortcuts for pausing / playing back and back and prominence of individual songs,
which does not really bother me further, because you can help with tricks here.
I am not a fan of the new touchpad, I would like to say in advance and went here ran with shyness,
but after prolonged use, I must say that even the touchpad processed relatively well and is easy to use.
Battery, Wifi & Bluetooth:
The battery is not replaceable, but it is here for a Li-Poly-Ion battery, which with several charge cycles and
of attaching can deal relatively well with a battery level of eg. 70% of the power supply and does not go quickly broken.
This type of battery also has no memory effect (best Google't her times for the keyword).
Nevertheless, I would have liked a removable battery for safety.
Now we come to the hair, which a dirty soup and for me personally, is reason enough
to provide the device only three stars and possibly even a strong buy cancellation.
The built-in device WiFi receiver is catastrophic. No 5GHz support and even if the router only one floor below
is possible to expect that the signal strength is reduced only half the unit arrives.
For comparison, I take here my senior, six year old notebook, even after 2 floors this has nearly full signal strength.
Here, Lenovo, Lenovo or should urgently reloading, because by the lack of 5GHz support the device is relatively susceptible to interference from other wireless transmission technologies such as Bluetooth, which also transmits on a 2.4GHz frequency band and receives.
In my example I have streamed music via Spotify in the background and during which want to connect a smartphone via Bluetooth with your device .. the result was immediate termination of the WiFi connection to the router. After this event I have
it is still trying with other Bluetooth devices, as there would be a speaker as well as a controller of Sony's PlayStation. 4
For each device of the same event has occurred.
So whoever of the 3 USB slots should a have free yet and a router its own can call, which also transmits on a 5GHz Fequenzband, is this machine better served if you look at that bring a WiFi USB stick, which the 5GHz technology support.
Faintly Lenovo, very weak.
I hope I could you facilitate the decision to buy and help you with this Rezi.
If there are any questions, you can make love to me.
