First of all, the design of the lighting is just brilliant for my taste.
Unfortunately, the sound leaves something to be desired.
We tested the "Cube" with various source devices, both wirelessly and via AUX.
It was tested in each case with the same track, a bass-heavy Progressive Trance file in 128 kbit / s.
As far as possible the settings of the respective source device on -Normal- were therefore adjusted without bass boost etc.
And there was "no" each tested with the MX Player, or Android devices with preinstalled software, respectively. (For example, various MP3 players, old cell phones without Android or laptop)
Conclusion from this test:
The higher the quality and current source device, the better the sound quality with the "Cube".
Unfortunately missing the "Cube" a pause, loudspeakers / Soft and forward / back button. While this was in the description, but arises after a short use as a pain out.
Especially when the device is fired by Bluetooth. Because the radio connection is extremely stable and handed the test through walls, doors and cupboards over 8 meters without ever showing connection burglaries and even under high load on the battery by high volume setting of the source device. (Here you have to be so for the source device running if you want to make, for example, quieter.)
Which brings us to the next point.
The volume is surprisingly high and certainly corresponds to the specification of 3 watts. The Speaker proposes not or begins to crack. The highs are a little too strong, so top-heavy and scratch something. Bass is to guess but not really available. You can not afford a speaker of this size also. At low volume of about 60 dba O. the sound is almost i.
Unfortunately, the sound of the speakers is a total to be called somewhat dull and the same as tinny. On this point, the above-mentioned "Olive" is a lot better. The sound of the "Olive" is clearly the bass is stronger and the "Olive" has the buttons are missing the "Cube".
Run now but not the same going to the "Olive" to buy, which is in fact in other places really bad. (Available in the Rezi for "Olive".)
Amazing is the battery of the "Cube". In the test, he held despite continuous high volume after the first charging good 6 hours and after the second charging more than 10 hours at elevated and low volume.
When the battery is running out of the "Cube" responds with a beep and turns off shortly thereafter automatically.
The charging of the "Cube" is done with a 1000 mAh loader after about 2.5 hours and the red light goes out.
Less good is the connection for the AUX cable. Here, the connection area is very narrow and it can only be an AUX cable be used which after the 3.5 mm jack has a very slim grip area. Older cables with more than about 5 mm in diameter on the grip area do not fit. So if you want to use the Mobile Cube via AUX must drag along the supplied AUX cable.
The "Cube" has, like other devices in this category, with a telephone function. However, offers of "Cube" no Micro SD slot or control buttons. Others can do better.
The "Cube" logs in to the on / off switch and discreet with a polyphonic beep and not annoying like other devices with a loud, barely comprehensible, pseudo English-speaking voice Far East.
What did not work is the chemical stench. This is exorbitant. And even after the source of the chemical is removed for the past 14 days, so the "Cube" is still slightly contaminated with this smell.
The chemical bomb comes from the bottom of the "Cube". Here is an anti-slip rubber mat is attached.
This could be achieved carefully and the residual glue on the "Cube" had to be removed with a little alcohol.
However, the "Cube" now vibrated during operation over the table. So I had to stick Filzstopper among the "Cube".
The original rubber mat still has the extremely chemical smell even after intensive airing. And that's not at all, just like the to-do by the customer conversion action if he wants to get rid of the stench.
- Conclusion -
Plus:
+ Ingenious Design
+ Send lighting
+ Stable Bluetooth
+ Long battery life
+ Fast charging time
+ Discreet A / switching sound
+ Simple to use
Minus:
- Excessive sound, only to Mono
- Faulty design of the AUX port
- Lack of control buttons
- No Micro SD Slot
- Unending chemical stench
- Converted Filzstoppern necessary
Since the "Cube" is intended as a gift and as a whole is better than the "olive", he comes equipped with Filzstoppern on the gift table and does not return.
In particular, because of the chemical bomb number, the moderate tone and the comparatively high price I come here to a maximum of two and a half stars in the overall standings.
Addendum: According to my review Easy Acc granted a discount. So there are now three and a half stars now become instead of two and a half stars.
Although Easy Acc could not change the unit, for the price and the great customer service is worth an appreciation but.
