The choice fell ultimately on this Acer monitor, firstly necessarily because I wanted to have a 27-inch model and this was mainly priced very beneficial. Had another Asus first discovered, but I left before the outside quickly, because I've made very bad experiences with their support.
Features:
When unpacking it is equally surprised, since nearly all the cables are included, which you need, or might need.
- Dual-Link DVI cable (needed for nVidia 3D Vision)
- Display Port Cables
- USB 3.0 connection cable
- Audio connection cable (3.5 mm jack)
- 2 power cables (one for the American power grid)
Unfortunately, an HDMI cable is not included, it should be noted when ordering.
Structure:
The structure is simple, it requires no tool and holds bombproof. Instructions I did not look inside.
The height adjustment and tilt goes very easily by hand. Everything is a little excited with springs that counteract the weight of the monitor. So you really can even adjust everything with one hand.
Connections:
The monitor is in my opinion, everything your heart desires.
For the video signal you have VGA, DVI (dual-link), display port and HDMI.
The monitor has a speaker which can be connected via The included 3.5mm jack cable and in addition you have then the possibility via 3.5 mm jack to connect a headphones, this is, however, also on the back, which placed not so good is.
In addition, you have the possibility to connect 2 USB 3.0 devices on the left side, these ports are well positioned so that you can very easily make use of, even without having to turn the monitor. The connected USB connectors are but then something out, but that does not bother me.
Image Quality:
The image is sharp and offers good color and contrast. The brightness can be turn up enormously, which is very important if you want to use 3D Vision, as the 3D glasses looks something abdunkelnd.
Menu:
Via the menu of the monitor can be much set, the volume is adjusted from the menu, which is doing something bad, even if the menu can be operated quickly and intuitively. For me, this is not a problem because I do not use the monitor speakers.
Audio quality I can not judge because I do not use the speaker.
FYI:
Have connected the monitor via DVI, Display Port because unfortunately does not support the 3D Vision and the HDMI port already is tuned the TV. Since I do not always want to reposition it stays that way.
But here IMPORTANT INFO wants when someone uses the monitor via DVI / use: Dual-Link DVI grabs only a bandwidth of max. 7.44 Gbit / s, this means that at 1920x1080 with 32bit color depth max. 120Hz are possible. (Equivalent to approximately 7.42 Gbit / s)
I unfortunately had to learn the hard way, as I had first set 144Hz and after a few minutes there was a very violent image disorders. Second monitor goodness, I've again can change.
Conclusion: Not Much weaknesses, decent facilities and at a very good price. But there 5 stars from me.
