CURRENT PEDOMETERS
Currently I count my steps with my smartphone. The Galaxy S5 has a built-in pedometer and I use normally. The downside is that I just do not have any clock for the wrist and I often wear pants that do not have a pocket. That's why your smartphone will often be on the table and not every step is counted.
OMRON PEDOMETERS 'FIRST IMPRESSION
So I thought to myself that a small simple pedometer is just right for your pocket. I do not need an extra bells and whistles and if I want to hold my jogging times, I take the phone with you. That's why I did the Omron actually ideal. The first impression is positive. Battery is present, it is small, fits in your pocket and the screen is big enough. For the operation is a little guide, which should be read.
FIRST STEPS
Before you go, you have 2 seconds press Set. Then you can the Germans sizes, as cm, km and set 24 hours. It is important then that it accurately calculates your stride. Only too little or too much, and the steps do not match. The default is 72, but I'm pretty small steps and came to around 50th
OMRON VS S5
One day I have done both products in each case a pocket, so I can just let's see how the values are. When I walk with my son, then I need for the 7000 steps around 5km, which would theoretically mean 0.71 per step. Output figures were 62 steps on the S5 and 10 steps on the Omron. Then it went off. In the evening I then compared both values and was surprised how much longer displayed the S5. For me it was really clear in advance that the S5 is working reasonably well, because the calculated steps while walking for me actually seemed logical.
The next day I'm gone jogging and have easy times paid close attention to the values. Both the kilometers, and the number of steps have voted suddenly. That's why I have at home once more ensured. The Omron has two minor problems, which is why not all steps are counted accurately. Outside and on the way I'm doing something bigger steps, which match the specified stride. At home, they are apparently a little smaller and therefore not all be counted. He also does not count all the steps at once. Sometimes I go 4 steps, and he does not take it, then I have to shake the device again. I do not do this, it counts on some corridors, until the 8 or even 10 step. So naturally some will be lost.
CONCLUSION
We know that the Omron not captured some steps you can just sit count 300-1000 steps, depending on the previous step number, or if you have a nervous bobbing walk, also deduct some 1,000 steps a day. It's definitely a good orientation and I find it more convenient than ever need to have my cell phone in my pocket.
