Very easy to read (even at different viewing angles), extremely handy and, as far as one can say that in this class, high quality finish. The case is only made of plastic, but more luxury you could expect for the few Euros not well.
Especially the unit any bells and whistles, which drives me to other alarm clocks to insanity missing (in fact, I just need a wake-up time and no 100 time zones but just a reliable, foolproof alarm clock ...).
The large, red, protruding Abschalttaste the alarm is of vital importance for me, since I am more one of those gross motor Rikern. They must also clearly push down and then locks so that you get a clear feedback on the shutdown of the alarm. I find this very convincing - better than with all my previous alarm clocks. The alarm is OK, but nothing special bearable in the volume - it increases by a single beep in quick succession but remains in the Lautsärke constant (after 1 min is closing).
As a really nice feature, I feel the dim (switched off) Night illumination of the display, which is activated only when it is dark. She is so weak that I can sleep well here, but this is subjective. This feature is really clever - let's see how much power is consumed in this way, can switch off one then yes still. The normal (switchable push-button lighting leads to an excellent readability of the display, because this illuminates the whole (orange).
Negative I can only find that while the keypad blockage (also a good idea), the alarm is still activated. But that's just a small gripe and does not justify a star deduction.
Conclusion: When the alarm by holding which could be the beginning of a long friendship ... :-).
A word about the manual - it is nonsense, of course, that you may only use batteries or rechargeable batteries. Modern Eneloops are batteries in every way. I just do not know what actually happens when the voltage is too low .... Using the Manual in silence enveloped - well, we'll see ....
