My now 15 year old halogen uplight consumes 100 watts and still is serving. However, the ratio light output / lumen is no longer optimal (efficiency class C) on the energy consumption in my view. So I wondered, to replace the existing bulbs to LED with R7s socket. But then the light output was still too low. My solution: I've bought the, in my view really shapely "Mattis" uplight. This gives me the choice: conventional energy-saving bulbs with 100 watt light output with just 30 watts consumption or even more fuel-efficient LED with still lower light output (lumens). An E27 thread is nothing "exotic", it is the "normal" thread common ceiling lamps, E 14 thread are slightly smaller. The threads were decisive for me in my choice to 90%. Bulbs should be cheap and always on budget. A few more facts: Packaging: safe. Installation: to accomplish easily and without tools. Switch: both the woodwork. Appearance: noble and solid. Conclusion: The "Mattis" is worth the money and will certainly long time perform his duties.
