I already was preparing a legacy DCS-5222 camera. Dlink has made some changes in this latest version: - Wide angle: compared to the first version, this new model offers a greater angle shooting, so much that it is almost more necessary to use the pan / tilt to cover a standard room. - High embedded speaker: this model also features a small speaker above board allowing immediate use of the intercom function without having to add an external speaker. - This camera is supplied with an adjustable bracket that attach to the ceiling or on a wall (bracket fixing).
The "little" less are: - Dlink no longer provides remote. The advantage of the remote control allow to easily set the camera mode "privacy" (standby microphone and camera). It will go through the web interface to use this mode, which is not very comfortable. - PoE is still not available.
In conclusion, this product has evolved. Compared to other non-motorized Dlink models and offering the same technical features, the price of this 5222 made her a master purchase.
