At the base there is an approximately 72cm long cable, which can be space-saving winding below the plinth. The kettle has an overheating protection and turns off when it is operated without water. At the bottom of the glass container are small blue LEDs that glow blue when the unit is turned on. Looks fancy, but has no meaningful benefit.
The glass container has a capacity of 1.7 liters. This brings it in 5 minutes and cook 45 seconds. After another 15 seconds, the unit automatically turns off. One can also boil small quantities of water in this kettle. The kettle, which I had so far, all had a higher minimum fill volume. A cup full of water (200ml) begins to boil after 55 seconds, and after a further 7 seconds of the kettle goes back out automatically.
Now for the small problem, which is why I deducted a star. The lid closes very good. So good that you can not get it on using the button on the handle. One must then rakes under-, simultaneously press the button and then get it on with your fingernail or anything else at cover. (Caution ... right after cooking you should not make it, because the container is hot) I have checked the incoming times. On the cover are the right and left two snappers to be pushed in when you press the button on the handle and then the lid to spring open. These two snappers (or whatever you want to call the), are quite stiff and sometimes they also pinch.
I then pushed in felt 50 times the two snapper again manually. Now they are a little bit smoother and the lid can be opened now also use the button on the handle. Not always, but more often. I guess that just gets better with time, but still have to deduct a star for it, because it happens to be a shortage. Everything else is working properly, and thus remain 4 stars.
