the 301 is well made, feels valuable and fits comfortably in your hand. the basic functions of a bullion phones met the unit fully: clear contacts, good keyboard, telephone and SMS go well out of hand. The 2.4 inch display is a standard mobile phone to be assessed positively in terms of quality, size and resolution. The 3.2 MP camera is decent for a mid-range device, but of course to use for snapshots only (no flash!). the biggest drawback for me is that PC Suite you can connect to the PC the device is not by Nokia. because the device via a standard USB port has to have the yet available, but there is of me a point deduction. (Here though someone wrote that it goes, but I did not manage it and also according to Nokia Support will not support 301 from the PC Suite.)
the hotly debated battery life: certainly contributes Nokia in the battery life too thick, which reaches the device is not easy. On the other hand I can so some information here (only 1-2 days in standby) definitely not understand. with me the battery lasts about 5-6 days under normal use, which is for me a few (rather short) calls per day, sometimes a SMS, one or the other photo snapshot and go from time to time on the internet the Spon headlines see through, because that works surprisingly well. for full-fledged surfing the screen is obviously not suitable. I find that an acceptable value for the battery, the battery lasted not much longer my old Nokia (6 Series) also.
