Tested with Xperia Z1 and second speaker

The speaker was already very good preloaded at the factory and reached in less than 45 minutes its full capacity.

INSTALLATION:

On a small piece of paper, which accompanies the manual and is also mentioned in the SmartGuide itself, is in fact pointed out that the first speaker once to the computer via USB cable must be connected to activate this feature.
So first connect to the PC, wait until it has been installed, only then insert the SD card and again wait until a confirmation message appears. These acknowledgments are signaled acoustically. Only after that you can enjoy his music from a micro SD card. Cumbersome.
Since the Xperia Z1 has over NFC, this connectivity could also be tested the same times.
Really easy. Holding smartphone with the back to the marked location of the speaker and the device is recognized immediately. Pairing and ready.
Of course you can the noisemakers quite normal pairing via Bluetooth if the phone does not have NFC. Moreover, I could not improve the speed coupling via NFC vs. Bluetooth notice.
Short yet to the two USB ports on the back:

- USB A - only used to power another device eg smartphone, so there is no input
- Micro USB - thus the "Roar" is coupled to the PC or laptop for updates and to the Micro SD card slot to activate

The control buttons on the back (play, forward / backward) work exclusively with inserted SD card. Control of the selection on your phone is not possible. Strange.

Sound quality:

As might be expected, the device has an excellent bass, which at the beginning not yet equal turns out that we here only once have to activate the "Roar" little buttons on the top. Unfortunately, we have to repeat every time you reboot, it will not be saved.
But then we also get a powerful bass which we find extremely rare in similar devices of this size. The centers play funnily enough in the middle. So does that mean - nothing special. The highs are clear and do not exaggerate reproduced. All in all a very balanced sound.
Various settings for film, games, music can be made via the control software using the PC or Mac. However, this software must first be downloaded from the company website. Ultimately, it is possible but very intuitive to use and even is available in German language.
The telephone function with speakerphone etc. works also excellent and one understands his counterpart excellent. The microphone is also decent, because I too was perfect understanding on the phone of my interlocutor and even from some distance away from the microphone of the speaker.

Coupling of two SPEAKER:

So I had to test me once from a friend a second device of this type lent to stereo operation with two speakers.
Great difficulty at the beginning. For this you need a special cable which is called by the company "Mega Stereo Cable". The special feature here is that one of these 3.5mm jack has four poles, but the other end three-pole! This is not intended as harassment on the part of the company but serves to ensure that the speaker "know" whether the only existing phone jack will be used as input or output. Three Pin Plug = input, four-pole connector = output.
A little naughty, I find the price for such a simple cable to the website of Creative. Entire 15 money plus 4 Teuronen shipping you want there for it. So my tip: In the bay for less than 3 euros a Adaper get. Works fine.
But once connected, you will be compensated in fact a bravourösem sound.
You can expect a first-class stereo impression which compares favorably with medium HiFi equipment not to shy away from. Whether one but double the money may now spend on a second speaker, of course, is up to each exempted.
