Due to the structural events at our home we can not use a vented dryer and are therefore always been a condenser instructed. Before an AEG Lavatherm has mastered this task brilliantly, unfortunately, he broke after 5 years. The criteria when considering buying: No AEG-device (durability), brands, good energy efficiency and of course the price. Through a tip from a friend, we came to the Bosch WTW84161.
The unit is very well made and makes a high quality impression. Due to the weight of 50 kg at least two people are needed for transport. 60 cm width are as standard as the product adequate 7 kg capacity. The power cord should meet with 1,45 m length to most users, the door stop is right.
At first use is immediately apparent: instead of thousands of possible drying options there are only 2 basic programs (Easy Care, cotton) with individually selectable dryness (iron dry, cupboard dry [plus]) and a Mixprogramm. In my Lavatherm with display I could set individually for each basic program nor the revolutions, but I made it a rule not exercise. For temperature-sensitive laundry, there is a "All" button, which selects an appropriate program. The drum also moves the program has ended two hours at regular intervals, so that the laundry does not wrinkle when you're not even there immediately. After each drying the water tank must be emptied and the lint filter clean - the two go slightly out of hand. The signal for the end of drying can be parked. Overall, I must admit that my display has already fallen from Lavatherm better. In addition to all program details, for example, was also shown the remaining term, which has varied continuously during the drying process. The dry results of Bosch are very satisfactory!
The dryer can be filled well. Although Bosch advertises with the low noise level of the device (65 dB), but you should not fool - the operating noise can be heard clearly even depending on the installation site. On energy efficiency, I will not go into too much detail. This model has a good A + classification, for better results you have to invest much more money in the rule. Actual consumption is highly dependent on the chosen programs and the frequency of use.
A nice touch: Have had my AEG Lavatherm dryer on a washing machine AEG Lavamat asked (washer-dryer column). With the same basic dimensions can this principle also to do with this Bosch unit, so mix and trademarks. There are matching accessories such as Bosch directly but also at Amazon (WTZ11300 connection kit with extension WTZ11310 connection kit). To this end, however, the individual manufacturer's instructions must be strictly observed.
Conclusion: A good device with a simple operating concept and excellent drying results. Who should set everything to the last detail like to select a device with a display. All others can strike without hesitation here!
